I was there brah. Can't make many games living in a different city though. But all the down votes in this thread just shows how delusional our baseball fans are IMO.

We're you actually at the game? Or is it your job to just carry on via the rant?

Like i said, i don't mind it sometimes, but also don't want to flip the home field advantage(or even put it in jeopardy), especially when we are on the ropes.

Meh. If he was throwing a 3-hit shutout and ran out of steam I'd understand. Didn't think it called for a standing O, but I also don't really care.

I understand what you are saying, but we can holler at them all we want before and after the guy leaves the mound and gets to the dugout. I don't see it as a factor in flipping home field advantage. But that is just my opinion. I guess I am just Old School when it comes to that. I know I am old.

in this case we were down 4-3, but we were threatening, you could sense the tide was turning. Their guy leaves and our fans cheer for him.

Some other cases, its fine. Game is out of hand, or guy makes a nice play early in the game. Just thought it was bad timing.

Meh, frick opponents, I hate them all, applaud them after the game.

Not to mention he didn't even dominate or have that great of a game.

You gave a standing ovation to a dude on the other team who threw an OK game that was actually probably below average for his standards, I just don't see why anyone would do that

Were you there? I was 2 rows behind the SLU dugout and I did not sense any turning of the tide cause by our fans giving the guy a standing O. Again, just my opinion.

standing ovation
Doesn't make sense. A good clap would suffice.

Meh. Randy Marsh much?

He held LSU to 2 runs and left with the lead.

The guy battled and worked his way out of lots of jams. It was a gutsy performance IMO.

Again, this is what I was taught to do by my Dad. I always thought it was sportsmanship and has its place in baseball.

He gave up 4 runs actually and 9 hits, not exactly dominating
