Stadium sounded loud in TV, consistent with in person experience?

Looked like uppers were fairly empty but the lower looked full and it sounded like the fans showed up and showed out during the game on the broadcast. Was that ESPN trickery, or was Death Valley loud last night?

Wasn’t completely packed in lower bowl, but more full than I thought it would be. But yes, the fans were very loud.

It’s Death Valley it will always be loud and have a roar to it when we are competitive regardless if it is not completely full.

North end zone was pretty loud, & usually is for most games…

I sat on the West side last night which is not where I usually sit and it was very loud when OU lined up and after big plays. The game flow was not as raucuous as the Ole Miss game but it was good. This game had a lot of stoppages for some reason and kinda toned things down some.

Row 9 on the West sideline and the stadium was rocking. Student section was full and they got load. Great crowd.

I noticed there wasn’t a full student section. Which is to be expected with them still being on break

ESPN trickery,

I’m not saying it wasn’t loud, but it’s mainly this on TV. The ESPN and ABC night games crank the crowd noise for the games by using microphones in the stands. They went to this because the booths at the stadiums along with noise canceling mics would make it sound quiet and boring.

There were some points in the game last night where Oklahomas fans sounded considerably louder than Tiger fans, and that’s just not reality.

It was modest crowd at best.. but expected for after thanksgiving.. students on break etc.. crowd stepped up as best as they could and did a solid job.. team helped get them in with plays and cheering us on also..
respect shout out to the frat next to me in student section.. not a lot of students on campus but a group of them showed up as stags and really stepped up the antics.. we enjoyed sitting by them..

My Apple Watch sent me high decibel warnings a few times during the game. Which was more than I expected.

I was further down in the lower bowl and it didn't sound particularly loud IMO. Been to many LSU games that were far, far louder.

It was still a decent crowd for Thanksgiving weekend, but not the raucous type you see on a normal week against a ranked SEC team with something on the line.

It wasn’t super loud but I’ll give it to them, it was a lot louder than I expected given how many empty seats there were.

Are you aware of where the student section is? It was NOT full at all.

I screamed my fool arse off last night on the east side. There were quite a few OK fans around us and they were pretty pissed off at how poorly their team played. It was glorious.
