Im 58 and have been at almost every game from then to now and ill continue to go. With that being said i can tell everyone when the university moved the band to sell those premium seats for more $$$$$ they didnt need it killed the stadium vibe. The band could control the tempo of the game b/c you could hear them. Now they've been relegated to the endzone their sound cant be heard and we get a DJ. Having to rely on a dj at tiger stadium is pathetic

Those idiots are more worried about being stuck in traffic then supporting the Tigers

I’m sorry, I’m not driving from New Orleans to watch us play Grambling. We try to give tickets away as soon as we know that we’re not going, but it’s almost like we’d have to pay someone to go

Supporting the Tigers in two ways - $ and presence.

But traffic is an issue. And when you’ve spent all day in the heat, get to the stadium and there is no food unless you want chips, and then you cheer your arse off in the heat for hours, and then have to sit in traffic for an hour and half to reach I-10, hungry, stinky and irritable, it ain’t fun.

It’s okay to say that there is an issue. It doesn’t make you less of a fan to say so. It doesn’t make you less of a fan to want a better exit strategy. Dalrymple from Lod Cook was a beast last night. Makes me a whiney old person? Then yeah, but I paid my money, went, and that was the result.

And those of you who got out in minutes, send me your route.

Wanna fix the attendance problem? Fix the access roads-streets to/from the stadium. That's my two cents worth.

People may be bitches, must not wanting to walk a year from 1-5 miles to sit in traffic for 1-3 hours does not make one a bitch

It’s the same thing every year.

Y’all keep posting the same threads every week, every season.

It s what it is now. It sucks but it’s not gonna change unless it’s Bama at night or a monster game.

This isn't every ticket holder but a lot of people who had their kids in tow left before the 4th.

We had a dozen people leave at the same time next to me and behind me.

The DJ sucks, the speakers suck, and the product on the field sucked for a while last night.

That is not the problem. Many of these sideline people come and tailgate all day, show up late, and leave at halftime regardless of game situation. I sit with friends often on the East side and see it all the time.

The only solution to the visible vacancy is to color the seats purple...

So to your point the tickets get scanned but the seats are empty because they left.

Yup. They were complaining about the box back in June during the supers too.

Back when the stadium held 67,000 all of the areas north, west and south of the stadium were open fields with the exception of the ROTC building and Alex Box. The parking was free and very close to the stadium. You could get out in a reasonable time even if staying for the end of the game. Now there are new classroom buildings and athletic facilities covering what used to be free parking. The stadium is now 50% larger and the parking is about 75% reduced in areas around the stadium. The road access into LSU campus is unchanged. On top of it all, large high definition TVs have become inexpensive. LSU used to appear about once a season on black and white and then color TV. Now it's high def every game. It has all outgrown the infrastructure and it is harder to have a good time and to get in and out in order for it to be an evening out instead of a day long project.
