OP is 100% correct. The show is pretty darn amateur for the price of attendance.

And where do I sign the petition to get back the older version of "Its Saturday Night in Death Valley." I love our Tiger Greats, but narrators they are not. Yikes that is a train wreck.

When would have been the appropriate time to discuss stadium concerns, princess?

You posted no concerns about the stadium.

You posted concerns about going your need for AV stimulation. While attending a good football game in beautiful weather. Speaking of princesses, is this the modern day equivalent of noticing a pea under your mattress?

Couldn't agree more. Just another example of the ineptitude of the media team.

The whole experience is "Ladies and gentlemen, please turn your attention to the north end of the field while we introduce ......." Over and over.

Sorry, I thought those were understood and discussed ad nauseam here, here are a few since you need it spelled out:

-Tube TVs are from 1964 and often don't even show the game.
-Bathroom lines intersect with concession lines, which end up blocking and intersecting with the poorly placed condiments for said concessions.
-Speaking of concessions, bring your first-born-son to pay for 2 waters, peanuts and a pizza.
-Bathrooms are terrible and the layout is inefficient.
-Concession workers don't give a single frick about efficiency.

Those are the absolute obvious, but I am sure they fall on deaf ears because either 1.) you don't go to games so you completely can't relate or 2.) you are just a homer who thinks because the sun is out and the tigers are on the field that all should be overlooked and we should just accept mediocrity because... Love Purple, Live Gold and Forever LSU!

Sound about right?

Is spot on with his assessment. Just 5 to 6 years ago the A/V part of the game was much better. Here's a few of my thoughts:

A) The "It's Saturday Night in Death Valley" video played before kickoff was perfect in it's original form. They tinkered with it the last few years, first with Dan Borne doing the voice over, and now with Tiger greats doing it. It has lengthened the video and killed the pace of it.

B) "I'm From Louisiana". No one is asking you to listen to the full song in your free time, but it's perfect as a prior to kickoff song. The players love it, the students love it, and that creates excitement. It is something unique to LSU and no other college has that. What do you want, "Thunderstruck" or "Start Me Up" from the Rolling Stones?

C) We used to have a couple of cool video montages played during the games at times. A mashup of Nelly's "Here Comes the Boom" and P.O.D.'s "Here Comes the Boom" was nice.

D) The entire first half, anytime there is a dead ball is filled with corporate sponsors, guests of honors, etc. It kills all the flow of what's happening in the game.

E) Whoever decided to change the end of the 4Q events should be fired. We used to get a great moment in 4th quarters in Tiger Stadium montage, complete with radio calls of the play. At some point they muted the video while the band was still playing the Pregame Song. But now there is nothing but the band. Then was added the lamest "L" "S" "U" "Tigers" cheer ever. Try that before the game, not at the end of the 3Q.

F) What happened to the speakers in the South Endzone? Every fan in the North Endzone will have hearing loss because the volume for entire stadium comes from one end of the field.

G) The LSU admin has over corrected because so many people have complained about the piped in music. Now there is hardly any at all and the players just stand on the field chewing their finger nails waiting for the opponent to break the huddle.

I’ve eaten in the Stadium more times this season than all games of the past 10 years combined. At least the 6:30 Aggie game will prevent that. Look, I don’t expect The Chimes quality but is it too much to expect Burger King or Subway quality? The $15 tab for that bland food only rubs salt in the wound.

The normal stuff is pretty bad, but I will give credit where its due when they bring in some of the outside vendors like city pork and lava cantina I have had a few good bites the past 2-3 years.

Two years ago City Pork was right outside my section (417) and chowing down on the loaded pulled pork kettle chip nachos whist sipping a crown was glorious.

I agree with everything in the OP, except I'm From LA. It's just not a good song, and nobody is into anymore. There is plenty of good music out there; pick something good, not OMG they said Loosiana!!

Couldn't have said it better. The team used to get visibly fired up when it came on. I also never understood the "but not all players are from LA" argument. Who cares?.. every single one of them has LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY on their chest.

For the record, I am totally open to a new song. I just miss the excitement of hearing a song (any song) that got the team pumped following a score or to start the game/half.

I haven't been to a game in forever.
It would be nice if the TVs in the concourses worked so one could see the play on the field while having to answer nature's calls for food, drink, or relief.

However, who gives a frick if they're "flat screen" or not? They're not going into YOUR living room. Fans will only look at them for a few moments at a time. So long as they function, properly, should be more than enough.

A fair number of posters in this forum think there's too MUCH pre-recorded/packaged music and not enough of Tiger Band. Want pre-recorded/packaged music? Try an NFL venue.
