The worst ever though was West Virginia 2011. I know people say this all the time, but people literally...literally cussed us out all over campus completely unprovoked. It wasn't isolated stuff. It was like walking through the worlds largest trailer park. I've seen some stuff on my 20+ road games but that was by far the worst

this was my experience as well...first time I have ever seen opposing fans actively trying to pick fights before and even during the game...

that game turned me against the idea of selling beer during college football games forever...

I went to Ole Miss with some black friends. It was fratastic and racist, of course.

Meh, it's the fan with the beer, not the beer in the fan that makes a difference.

LSU fans already drink beer in Tiger Stadium...club and suite holders use it liberally, as well as hard liquor.

And many, if not most, LSU fans sneak in alcohol into general seating. Alcohol affects people in different ways. LSU fans, IMHO, are a "happy drunk".

West Virginia fans are an example of a "mean drunk".

The last away game I attended was auburn. I was treated great by all auburn fans although the huge pot of jambalaya I cooked was putting a smell that everyone of them came and asked for a bowl. So could have been more about the food for being so nice. Lol

Awesome timing! My wife and I were discussing last night if we should bring our 3 year old daughter with us to the Ole Miss game this year. What are your thoughts? Think it would be a problem? I can handle trash talk with the best of them, but don't want her to get quite exposed to it yet! Ha!

IMHO, three would be a bit young for an away game. Ole Miss fans are usually all right before the game. An LSU victory turns Black Bear fans ugly afterwards though.

I've been treated anywhere from really well (TAMU) to really terribly (Florida). But mostly it's good natured ribbing no matter where you are.

One thing I'd like to point out it that "coon arse" is roughly the equivalent of using other racial and ethnic slurs, but I've seen and heard it used innumerable times in those types of situations.

Yeah, opposing fanbases aren't nearly as hospitable as I've seen LSU fans be. MSU in 2013 wasn't too bad, but I don't think they really expected to win.

General rule: Don't be an a-hole, and most people will treat you well. I've been just about everywhere in the SEC, and most experiences have been great, save for those few exceptions where we're in the vicinity of assholes. And I think I've had both the best and worst experiences at Georgia (worst was 2004, best was 2013).

Seriously, that 2004 trip (granted I was in college and they were pissed at LSU from 2003) was miserable. But the 2013 trip was fan-fricking-tastic, and every group of Georgia people we were around, from Friday night, to the tailgating, to inside Sanford were a blast to hang out with.

1. Worst fans with no class (but pretend to be the classiest) are: Ole Miss Fans
Grade: F-
Pure trash. Hate these f-ers! Never had one good experience there. Except taking pics with the cheerleaders once.

2. Had a pretty good time at Alabama before a game. My seats were in hostile territory, so there was some heckling during the game.
Overall, grade: B

3. Florida. The fans were not as inclusive, but I enjoyed the atmosphere.
Grade C+

4. Moo State. We had fun gambling in Philadelphia. The rest of the trip was Ho-hum. Ain't much to do there. The cowbells are incredibly stupid. I can respect good cheers and loud places. Cowbells to me are for folks with weak spirit and no ability to cheer themselves.
Grade: D

5. Tennessee. Best experience of my life outside of LSU. Tailgating was pretty scattered, but I had a good time at each stop.
I was able to watch that game from the field with the team......and we won on a last second TD. Pretty epic!
Grade: A-

That's all I got

Generally I've been treated pretty well most of the time. The worst two venues were Florida and Alabama.
Fans of both schools tend to be condescending and obnoxious. Vandy and Tennessee fans were the most hospitable and laid back. Maybe it was that home made corn squeezings.

Nicest fan bases in SEC in my experience: 1. Texas A&M 2. Auburn. Nicest anywhere: Notre Dame.

Little Rock fans the absolute trashiest- and worst. Ironically, one of my trips to Fayetteville was one of the alltime best...

The absolutely worst road game experience I have ever had was at Auburn. The fans in our section were obnoxious and entitled.

And for some reason, they kept talking about how their academics were better than LSU's. I guess that's all you can brag about when you're getting your shite pushed in lol!

Had the same kind of experience in WVU with the trash but ironically it was almost always from girls from NJ. The locals and everyone above the age of 22 treated us like royalty. As we walked through the tailgating areas we were pulled into most parties and they couldn't have been nicer. i would go back there in a heartbeat.

UF - average. They don't tailgate to the level of SEC West schools so it was a little boring.

UGA - great time. Most tailgates were friendly.

Went to all of these as an alum.

As a student we went to Ole Miss, Auburn, and A&M in the 90's. Quite frankly I don't remember much..

lots of corndog jokes, but besides that I found Auburn fans unusually nice. Down right suspiciously nice if you ask me

That's always been my experience at Auburn. There are a few drunk college kids who are jerks, but that's everywhere.

Every visit to Auburn, there are innumerable people who say, "Welcome to Auburn." On my first visit, I thought they were being snide in some way, but they've always been nice, friendly.

The worst? Arkansas, hands down. It's almost like they hate themselves for being pig fans stuck in that state, so they take it out on LSU fans.

UA- Has been good to me for the most part. I've made some lifelong friends there
Vandy-Boring. They were all studying. But I was able to sneak tons of alcohol into the stadium
Auburn-For the most part they were cool tailgate with. Once we got into the stadium they were pretty much assholes. But hey, it was a blow out.
OM-It's Ole Miss....I want them to be assholes to me.
UF-Possibly the worst CFB experience I've had. The fans of that university try entirely too hard to be dicks.
TAMU-Just plain weird. The bar scene is legit and the females are nice to party with. But other than that, it's a very weird university
UGA-Always have a good time. Have family members who attended the university. So it's always a solid road trip.
