You should have your anger aimed at Kelly who did not have a plan to win championships. He certainly didn’t have the heart put into it as we’re finding out.
Kelly is finding out that his market value is horrible and he’ll never be hired to coach at a big program ever again so he’s trying to leverage every dime out of LSU which is understand

If BK did some of the shite we’ve heard about, he doesn’t deserve his full buyout. Why you want LSU to bend over and take it up the arse is beyond me. But I appreciate the university having a backbone if what we’ve heard is true.

My post was based on “if” the rumors are true. The misbehavior in the office, excessive golfing on game weekends, vacations during bye weeks, not speaking with recruits, drinking problem.
If none of that is true and he gave 100% effort, pay him.
I haven’t read the contract and don’t know what qualifies as “for cause” but I have to believe the lawyers know more than I do and the buyout money is there. There is a reason LSU doesn’t want to pay him and now that a lawsuit is filed, they can’t speak on it.
I think this a whole lot of posturing by both sides and a settlement will be reached.
