There’s no method to the madness. The SEC is fricking pandemonium.

They also have a running QB. Completely different dynamic.

yet same amount of points in the first half. Only difference was that LSU was in a very hostile environment doing it.

All of our run plays are essentially based off of the RPO. When the entire world knows Nuss isn’t gonna run, it makes it pretty easy to scheme against. I almost think the O would be better off running a traditional under center/shotgun style offense.

Because it's a RPO doesn't mean the QB has to be the one running the ball. That's an added element. He could assist by getting those added yards as the field opens up for him to run. Defenses will continue to give it up because he hasn't shown he will do it. They'll take their chances in coverage because Nuss will key in on a guy (usually Lacy) who's double covered not even looking at Anderson or Green hell even the RB sometimes.

I hope everybody claiming we need a new OC realizes Bryce Underwood is handcuffed to Sloan. If he goes so does Underwood.

With that said, I’m not happy with the offense either. But with a semi-mobile QB, his offense would be better.

I’m gonna post an unpopular opinion. I’ve not just watched but I’ve broken down the film copy of A&M, SCAR & USC and the running game is not Joe Sloan’s fault.

Sloan has actually done a pretty good job. I know yall won’t like that, but on tape, he hasn’t been the problem. I’ll go back and check but between 70-80% of the called runs were called against a 6 man box or less.

Ok, so what’s your opinion of the problem? Our OL are bad at run blocking which then turns the attention to Brad Davis.
I don’t know what the issue is but I watch college football every Saturday and LSU with all their stars struggle as much as anyone

That last TD run was more than we had the entire game

LSU had zero rushing yards in the second half. You're saying the reason why we couldn't gain 1 yard rushing is because we don't have a dual threat QB?

From what I’ve seen on film, we’ve really struggled with leaning and pad level. It’s causing us to allow defenders to get off blocks or we miss them entirely and the high pad level has hindered our ability to get push. I like Brad a lot as a coach but there’s no question in my mind, the issue in the run game has been fundamental, not as much scheme. The amount of times we have allowed backside penetration on counters and zone would nauseate you.

Go look at the rushing ranks, and then look at who has a QB that runs.

Its technique, they are too high consistently and there is no excuse for potential NFL players or coaches to be this poor even at the high school level.

If we have two first-round pics off the oline or even 2nd round that tells you everything you need to know, (unless you think you are a better football talent evaluator than 32 NFL teams) That would definitely mean they think they can fix the run block issues and the problem is with coaches and not players.

Also, the center is sun belt level at best, and the guards aren't great. Maybe will get better we will see

I’m not ready to bail on DJ completely yet. He’s still yiung and will be a better player for having gotten these reps.

Well since we ran on 2nd and 10 at least 6 times, what a joke play calling that was

Yes, I agree on that. But, we couldn't gain 1 yard
