I would be ok with a rotation. Hoover, New Orleans, Memphis, Nashville, and Gwinett, GA

I still think Biloxi would be the most fun outside of the longer trips (Nashville)

Been to a few games at MGM and its a blast, but I dont think it has the capacity to support the tourney.

Would be awesome to catch a sunset game on the beach then walk across hwy 90 to the Beau/ Hard Rock.

Gwinnett is 5 minutes from my house but I think you face some of the same challenges as Zephyr Field. Although the area is much nicer than around ZF you still have a lack of hotels in the immediate area. You have 3 of 4 hotels a couple of miles away at the Mall of Georgia but then you have Suwannee which has some (OK area) and then around Gwinnett Arena, not bad but at least 15 mins away. And then others, just not as concentrated as Hoover or from what I remember Memphis.

Has attendance been down in the SEC tourney? What are the reasons for moving it? Probably the best news I've heard regarding LSU all day.

This won't happen, there are too many new/er parks around the SEC country for it to go to N.O. And, fwiw: CPM has been quoted every yr this comes up as saying the league's coaches all love Hoover.

maybe in 10 years, but unless something crazy happens, it's unfortunately not leaving Hoover any time soon.

Zephyr Stadium is not equipped to hold a tournament of that size. There would need to be money dumped into it.

AutoZone is a fine park and Memphis is a fun city. I would definitely go to the Tourney there. Every year I dread Hoover just because I hate the park and the area. Also, unless they plan on really sprucing it up, Zephyr is too Blah for the SEC tournament.

I would take Memphis every year over Hoover.

That's a nice ballpark. I'd take that if we can't get zephyr. That's 100 times better than Hoover any day.

People like to mention Memphis and Nashville, great stadiums, but they have practically zero RV space or hookups.

The RV slots are huge for the tournament. The SEC sells out of them very quickly every year. There is very little chance the tournament moves to a park that isn't RV friendly.

No way in hell Alabama let's this tournament leave Hoover. UA will throw whatever $$$$ it needs to keep it where it is.
I would love to see it move, but ain't gonna happen !

Real question, why not Constelation field in Sugarland? Plenty of parking and hotels, fair priced flights, family friendly field, etc.....

If it has to stay in Alabama, then Regions Field is a way better venue. I also Pensacola, they have a beautiful stadium right on the bay.

They should rotate it and Zephyr Field would be a decent spot since it's a few minutes outside of New Orleans. Some people that might not normally make the trip would go just because they know they'd have a good time when they weren't at the games. Hoover puts me to sleep every year. The LSU fans alone would make the environment more fun. Plus, the attendance would basically be guaranteed to be good.

There may be nicer stadiums, but I've been to Zephyr Field for college games and enjoyed them there. It's freaking baseball. I don't need a suite with a steak and wine menu and an attendant to wipe my arse when I'm done using the bathroom. Just put me outside in a decent park with some good teams in a fun environment and I'm happy.
