Love Howard… but he is injury prone and only relying on him as a true Soph scares me

JD will probably be back next year and we will have Collins in the fold. If Nuss is still here we won't have to rely on Howard yet. He will still be a freshmen next season also. He is redshirting this year

This.

Dude needs to go against a slow DL to work up some confidence this game going into tough SEC play in a few weeks.

but putting him in ahead of Nussmeier? May as well give Garrett his walking papers. Not going to happen.

It’ll happen if Howard is better than Nussmeier.

Sure, easy to say, but that’s a big “if” right now. And you better be sure, because Nussmeier would be gone. I stand by my initial response - OP is FOS.

He hasn't even bothered to say how he knows this, much less provide proof.

He definitely (probably) made it up.

Well, my recollection is Kelly mentioned wanting to get Howard some reps with the 2s so this would only follow suit with what Kelly alluded to

so. Pulled directly from your a-hole

No, I found what was posted. It was from Jordy though so it may have been pulled from his a-hole

What is his injury history? Obviously I know about the broken leg, but have their been others?

First off the bench. Don’t worry, redshirt not in jeopardy.

Forget about the redshirt. It's irrelevant. One way or another, he won't be here in 2026. Focus on getting him the experience he needs. He doesn't need to be the starter this year, but if you think he'll be here in 2026, you're wasting your time.

Either he will do really well and be gone no later than the draft after the 2025 season or he won't do well and then he'll transfer. With an open transfer portal now and draft rules that allow him to leave three years after he graduates high school, the chances of him being in an LSU uniform in 2026 are slim and none.

Get ready for a very good game from the freshman. I’m telling you right now, the future is very bright at LSU with Kelly at the helm. He’s going to bring in top level talent and get so much more out of the players that any other staff since Saban.

Don’t be surprised if LSU upsets a big team or two this year. I’m really liking the way Kelly is open to the best plays and changing things in the season. He’s playing with house money so let him lead. This defense will be one of the best defenses since 2011. Matt House is a genius and the players are buying into the system, they could have laid over after the first loss but this team believes in the process and they are playing for each other and this line may be the most talented in the conference without big Maason Smith being the anchor. Next year will be outstanding. I’m so excited Scott the next 10 years and would love to see Kelly just stay at LSU until he hangs it up. He’s going to benefit from Saban retiring son and LSU will become the top of the west for years to come. These kids love the state, Kelly loves high character and smart players that will do what it takes everyday to execute to become great. I think LSU has the possibility to be better than Saban’s teams that he coached since 07. We may have suffered during those years but it’s paying off and we kicked into him wanting to get out of South Bend.
We are biased but we all know Louisiana is different but special. The kids in the state love the university and most kids seem to be underrated.

I had a long talk with one of my friends today while we were fishing. He’sa big Georgia fan and alum, he thinks Kelly is the answer and he’s perplexed how Ojulari ended up in BR and is vote number 18. I told him BJ will never have an issue with a job or money after the NFL because 18 entrained you into the state and he will be taken care of forever. We also talked about how Kelly will be very successful bc any coach can be but this couldn’t be better.

Soak it in while we can, this year will be rough but the payoff will be worth every penny.

I know nothing of his history outside of the broken leg, but it wouldn’t surprise at all if that was the only one. Apparently posters on here think one injury equals “injury prone”

People keep talking about redshirt, but even if Daniels comes back for a second year (which is definitely a possibility), Howard would still have 2 years to play after that.

There’s a ton of smoke. I fully expect to see Walker before Nuss.

Howard won’t be around for 5 years. Let him burn the redshirt to be ready for ‘23, ‘24, and ‘25

Who is “you Walker Howard fans”? Shouldn’t every LSU fan be a Walker Howard fan?
