Now that the reg season is over, we can talk from a perspective of knowledge.

There are two parts to this:

1- Right move? (yes or no)

2- Are you ok with the consequences of the move?

---

MJ - Right move. I'm totally cool with it because to a man the players say RP had to go. I'll take a 1 year plunge for the sake of the program.

Tough love, but we gotta be up to it if we want the program to stay on top.

Right move. He probably wouldn't have made it through the season anyway.

He didn't play defense.

Yes & Yes.

I sure wouldn't have wanted him to screw up the week of say the Florida, Georgia or Bama games ... I mean to have to throw JL or JJ in without the majority of the snaps would REALLY have been worse than it already was.

2. yes. It's been a tough season to watch, but the qb future is bright especially now that jj and j. lee has gotten some game experience.

Just look at what a thug Pacman Jones was able to become because coaches hid his bullshite in college.

I think it was the right move.

I don't attribute every problem this season (defense?) as being a "consequence of the move."

Hell, I think we lose at least three games this year with him.

Well the defense is for another thread...

I've got to believe Miles agonized over the RP decision - knowing what was gonna likely play out this year with Hatch, Lee and Jefferson.

Kudos to the man that makes that call... that takes some serious character.

Without a doubt, he had to go.
We took lumps this year, but I feel we will be better for it in the long run.

Being a fan means you take the good with the bad, we run the marathon and enjoy the ride.
