Sorry if already asked, why is LSU playing in Oxford 2 years in a row?

I'm just used to alternating locations each year, but perhaps I missed if that went away when they did away with the divisions?

Same reason A&M has to come back to Tiger Stadium next year. New SEC scheduling

going to 9 conference games next year.
so some of the home/home schedules around the league had to flip around to make it all work.

It is a travesty LSU lost its 3 top rivals in all of this.

I know everyone here wants to just play cup cakes to guarantee a 12-0 season but where is the fun in winning if it’s not over your rivals?

An LSU schedule without Florida Auburn and Alabama every year is just not as fun to me.

Cupcakes? Florida has been shite lately. Auburn too. Both Ole Miss and A&M did better this year than bama.

I would argue that playing Florida, Auburn, Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee every other year is more challenging than playing Florida, Auburn, and Alabama every year.

Who is our 12th game next year? If you look at our schedule for next year, we only have 11 teams listed on there.

If I remember correctly I think Ole Miss had to come to LSU 2 in a row a number of years back when we went to different scheduling

You can blame it on the new 9 game conf schedule but in actuality some lowly staffer in the SEC schedule office noticed this possible matchup for next season and flagged it to higher ups for huge potential TV ratings… lowly staffer now a VP!
