OU definitely hates Texas more. Not even an argument.

Some of these Sooner fans need to listen to Texas sports radio the week before the UT-OU game. Texas fans says stuff about them I would not say about my worst enemy or even a Bama fan. They obviously have not heard true disrespect.

This is a FACT. IMO they hate LSU for two things, not b/c some fans tigerbaited them.

1. LSU kicked that over-rated "greatest college team of all time" arse pretty much the entire night.

2. Les Miles is the LSU leader. OU can't believe someone had the audacity to coach OSU to TWO victories over the OU God Bob Stoops and embarassed Sooner arse yet again

Yeah, I kinda thought that, too. Boise State, LSU, USC, Florida, West Virginia...I started to think they were going to hold a big grudge against UCONN, too.

And the stuff about the MIzzou fan mob mentality cracked me up. Really? I have experienced this mob mentality on a number of occasions (I went to KU for grad school) and it's more of a collection of a few fat, drunk quasi-frat kids (still looking for official recognition from their university) with hairy girlfriends feverishly making their way, in droves, to the local McDonald's. Whether it's football or basketball, Mizzou is kinda of the Ole Miss of the Big 12

No sir, if you want mob mentality, take a trip back in time to the "buy-Booty-a-bus-ticket" days folowing LSU/UAB in 2000.

A week after the 2003 National Championship game I was driving south on I-35 about one hour outside of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma driving in the right lane about 75 MPH when an elderly lady who looked like she had come stright from the Burger King commericial of 'Where's the Beef?' pulled up beside me furiously honking her horn. She was driving an old Dodge Aires. I wasn't in her lane and I couldn't fiqure out what she was honking at. She didn't stop honking the horn and when we were side by side, she raised up her right arm and hand slowly and then extended her middle finger straight at me. Talk about surprised! What in the world? She then sped up and zoomed past me. I was doing 75 MPH and she then zoomed past me! I saw a little OU decal on her rear windshield. It was then I remembered what had probably triggered this. My Kansas license plate says LSU FAN.

A little old lady who could barely see over the steering wheel of her car had just shot me the bird.

I wasn't gonna give my little rendition, but since a fellow Kansan/LSU alum/fan posted the above story, I'll drop a little story. On the day of the Big 12 and SEC Championship games in 2003, I happen to be at the Great Mall of the Plains in Olathe...probably 30 minutes or so from Arrowhead Stadium where the Big 12 game was being played. Anyway, there were a lot of OU fans walking around the mall that day, and one big guy wearing an OU jacket was there with his teenage son. Now, my family moved around quite a bit when I was younger so I've lived in a number of different states, but I will always call southern Illinois home, and the teenager that was walking with the big OU fan had on a letterman jacket from Vienna High School in southern Illinois. Vienna was a rival school in my high school's conference, so I had to approach the kid and his OU dad. I greeted them and Mr. OU had kind of a smug attitude to start things off, and in fact informed me they couldn't talk very long because they were off to the game. I told them both congrats on making it to the Big12CG and that I was an LSU alum and would be rooting for my Tigers in the SECCG. Mr. OU looked at me, as he was walking off and said "Well, LSU never does much anyway." I was like WTF?

And I remembered thinking about that guy when the LSU sideline started to walk onto the field as the seconds ticked away in the BCSNCG a month or so later.

BTW, ozland, if I ever see that license plate of yours, I promise to greet you with a kinder waive than the elderly woman in your story.

I just went to that new post. This cracks me up
quote:

Of the three NC games that we've lost under Stoops, the Sugar Bowl was the one we had the best chance of winning. LSU's QB Matt Mauck played worse than Jason White. 13/22 with two INT, one fumble and no touchdowns. We had opportunities but the offense just couldn't cash in.

Didn't our defense hold them to only around 158 yards TOTAL offense. Didn't we have over 300 yards offense?

I was in Ardmore, Chokelahoma a few months after the game on a job and of course wearing the NC gear everyday Representing between the hats and shirts I had lol...Anyway...

I only had one OU fan talk to me about the game rationally and that it was a good hard fought game and he even admitted they were lucky to be there after that beat down in the Big 12 title game...everyone else was "y'all got lucky"

frick OU

That's becuz of the COMPLETE arse beating they took. The score was no indication of how the game played out.

FWIW they were in New Orleans--don't they realize that NOLA is not the same experience as LSU. Fans yes, but not necessarily the same fans that would be at a real home game.

One thing for sure not many people in college football hate the Sooners. But Stoops finally did win a bowl game.

Those threads pop up often on Sooner boards and they always end with LSU/Louisiana being the butthole of society.

Let the hate go Sooner fans, it's healthier.

From what I've always heard, LSU might have been loud and raucous fans, but we were never just complete arse holes. I've actually heard the opposite, that we were friendly, with the occasional tiger bait.

The most disarming thing you can tell visiting fans, especially to N.O. is "thanks for coming here, we hope you enjoy the food, do you need any help or recommendations?"

I rarely got a positive response from the OU people, in 2007 the Notre Dame people were snooty, but OK, the OSU were a blast.
