Being hated just means you are relevant. I'll take all the hate they can muster.

Besides Texas and OSU of course.

That is the very first sentence. We're just #3 on their list.

I find it odd that Oklahoma fans had such a different experience than Ohio State fans. Maybe OSU fans just have thicker skin when it comes to getting tiger baited.

This reminds me the summer after we beat Oklahoma for the NC I was running at Memorial Park in Houston and was wearing a Texas shirt. This OU fan came up on me and had a big smile and started to poke some fun at Texas. I think Mac Brown and Texas had lost to OU several years in a row at the time. When he finished I smiled and said I did not attend Texas and was just wearing the shirt. He then smiled and said he hated Texas and said some pretty bad things about them. He then asked me what school I was from and I said LSU. His smile quickly disappeared, his right eye started twitching and his upper lip started quivering. I then said have a nice run and continued on my run.
It was one of the most enjoyable moments in front of an OU fan I've ever had without really saying too much.

I can't adequately express my disappointment in you after reading that you wore a Texas shirt.

I would think they would be more pissed with how our defense treated their offense in that Sugar Bowl.

most of the Sooners I met in New Orleans before the game had that elitist attitude and couldn't understand why people were getting pissed off at them.

I only had one and I grew up in Texas as a Texas Fan. I now hate those arrogant Horn Fans more then any team in Texas. My hate for them has grown little by little over the years.

the only reasons sooner fans hate lsu fans is a)because they lost b) because they were outnumbered 10 to 1 in nola the entire week leading up to the game c) they were out numbered at least 2 to 1 in the stadium. we might have been more exuberant than usual because it was our first national title in over 40 years, but i thought their fans were the smuggiest of any outside tuscaloosa i've encountered.

Am I the only one who thinks this is most likely 100% bullshite? I've attending games at Cal, Oregon State, Washington, Tennessee, Rose Bowl (Ohio State), and the National Championship (Auburn) and I have never had one bad experience. Sure we had some pre/post game banter, but nothing terrifying or nothing I will never forget. It was all in good fun. I'm not saying this stuff doesn't happen from time to time (ex: youtube video of Ohio State fans getting pelted by beers from Penn State fans), but it is extremely rare in my opinion. I am going to the LSU game this year in Dallas and I fully expect to have a great time, win or lose.

all my friends from UT came to baton rouge last year and all said afterward they were expecting a bad experience but had the exact opposite and said the terrible fan rumors were mostly exaggerated

I'm not to high on sooner fans but Texas fans are by far the smuggiest I've ever been around. Sooner fans are a toned down version of Texas fans.

In sum:

Ohio State fans are great. We like them and they like us. They can dish it out and they can take it. They were fun.

Oklahoma fans seemed like big cry babies, they cant take shite. They are not fun. UT fans are better than they are.
