He's tired of spending a couple of years developing a player, then he leaves. A waste of time and money. The new way is to build up a war chest of nil dollars and sign the biggest and fastest athletes you can find. Recruiting requires no more skill than writing a big check

Bk hit the portal because he had to. We were 8-4 in year 3 and would have been lucky to be 6-6 next year. He had no choice but to hit the portal, and hit it hard.
Had nothing to do with ND success, but LSU's lack of talent returning next year.

You didn’t understand the context
Money always makes the decisions. These coaches can try to take moral high grounds all they want, but in the end, the money wins in regards to who makes the calls. And the money decided to pay because the team was falling apart. Same thing happened with Clemson
