So the guy was fired abruptly, effective immediately, on a Thursday, which means he did something pretty bad that effectively ended his career.

What I don't get is why Guarantee Media wouldn't release a statement on what happened giving listeners the truth, but would allow T-Bob (and the show today) to sing his praises and honor the legacy he left behind.

If he did something so detrimental that it ended his career immediately, why not release it publicly for listeners to make their own opinions.

It was also very telling that t-bob said he strongly disagrees with the decision.

Something about this whole situation doesn't smell right.

Not really. That’s what I would expect T-Bob to say.

Does this really need its own thread?

Based on this job ad looks like he was a cancer in the lockeroom. My guess is he let that ESPN coverage get to his head and thought he was worth more than Guaranty was willing to pay him.

Guaranty Media is currently on the hunt for its next morning star!

1045 ESPN Baton Rouge is looking for a co-host for one of the top morning shows in the country, Off the Bench.

Our next team member will join T-Bob Hebert in creating and executing compelling and exciting daily content & entertainment.

We’re looking for someone with a wide skill that will make 1045 ESPN Baton Rouge shine via all delivery methods: on air & video, online, and on the street, all while being a positive influence & role model not just on the air but in the hallways as well.

Wouldn't that be easy to explain publicly tho?

Ever heard of ‘we’re looking for friendly smiling faces to hire’... this ad is the same thing and nothing more.

This is how the radio business is. The fact he was in one spot for ten years is rare af

Of course - But if he did something horrible/questionable I think he would be singing a different tune all together. The support of the 1045 family like Musso/Rivers/TBob and the crew makes it seem like it was bullshite and not some crazy horrible thing.

If you got fired would you want your employer to release the reasons to the public? The guy has to find another job. While it would be discussed in an interview for sure, I don't think he would want his former employer telling every bozo why he was so "bad" he couldn't work for them anymore.

It’s probably as simple as him digging in for a more lucrative contract and them calling his bluff. He seems like the kind of guy to swing for the fences like that. It’s how he always was able to convince some pretty big guests to come on.
