Hess's command got worse this year. It's really unfortunate.

Of course I can’t prove it, but based on all the evidence, I believe Henry is overreacting.

The velocity being down combined with the loss of control combined with Henry saying his arm was bothering him all go together.

And your point doesn’t even make sense. In your mind Henry was feeling bad before the game, pitched anyway, but then overreacted in the 2nd inning?

I didn’t say that. I’m asking if he did, why’d he pitch in the first place.

I said this week if he’s still on a pitch count/eval plan don’t start him. He was obviously not ready or not healthy. Whatever it should’ve been known and addressed before first pitch. Total shite show the way it went down

Everyone downvoted me when I said he needs a psychologist. He’s a hypochondriac - it can be worked through.

I’m willing to bet you know zero about him.

WTF are all y’all talking about? Cole Henry pitched two shutout innings even without his stuff. I give him a tough guy medal. It’s a bad break that he collapsed physically, but the problem was that Hess came in with a tie game, one out in the eighth, and runners on first and second. His job was to get us out of that inning, then close the ninth. He did not do it - not even close.

Put it in perspective: Cole Henry was hurt but got six outs without giving up a run; Hess was healthy. And could not get five outs without giving up two runs. The problem wasn’t Cole Henry.

Competition between Storz, Labas, and Henry should be for the Closer's role next year...….none should be expected to throw more than 2 innings. We'll let Hill and Hilliard start but they should be limited to 5 innings. If they have similar problems next year, they can compete for the closer's role the following year. Vietmeier and Beck should be given opportunities to start also, but only if coaches are confident they can throw an off speed pitch over the plate on a 3 ball count.Walker can continue to compete for starting job but only if we can get his sub par fastball to not be the pitch he throws 75% of the time....Marceaux….that leaves you with being next year's ace...….START TODAY!!!!!

The most frustrating part is if Henry isn’t healthy, it doesn’t matter how this series goes. This team cannot afford to lose him and expect to go much farther.

These injuries with the pitching staff are just unreal

Agreed.

Without Henry this team is toast. Don’t have enough pitching.

Henry is Generation Z, not a "Millinium." What a dumb take.
