Yes I’m mainly talking about OBJ, guy can’t stay out of the news. Could it be the Kardashian effect?

He is arguably the best WR in football and is about to be paid a lot either by the Giants or one of the other 31 teams in the NFL. Seems like he’s doing just fine.

LT was tearing shite up in NYC when Kim Kardashian was in diapers. Just wasn't as much media then.

Lets see what happens when his playing days are over. I'll bet not good.

Some people want to famous and at the top of any media's front page. OBJ.

Some people want to fly undercover and don't go out of their way for attention. Adrian Peterson.

Edit: Just so you know, I love these guys equally. Great players, but different "out of football" mindsets...

OBJ has become a brand, because of football, yes, but now is the time for him to set the foundation for life after the game. Think we all forget that he & many are one play away from football coming to an end. While I have mixed emotions with his off field actions, guess I understand & can look past it.

The truth is no one in this board knows what it’s like to be that rich and that famous that young or how we would act. Easy to say that now that I’m older I would do it different than him but I know how i acted at 25 poor and a nobody. It’s scary to think what would have happened to me if I had money then.

Dilly dilly.

Most of the OBJ news is just “look at this young, rich, famous dude having fun.” Only a miserable F would take issue with his “off the field behavior,” which has been completely harmless.

Why? Most people have friends and others that can tell you when you're acting like an arse.

Pretty sure he doesn't care. And hasn't since high school when i famously said he isn't as good as he thinks he is. Well, he is that good, but the attitude carries on.

I don’t agree with the OP but you are really minimizing being caught on video with a blunt and lines of blow.

I get it, those are just party drugs but OBJ plays in the NFL where those things are against the rules. He’s also a role model for young kids.

To me, it’s not THAT he smokes pot and likes to ski, it’s that he’s not being smart enough to ensure that those around him arent damaging his brand by videoing such debachery.

Dude half the OT makes equal or more than OBJ so get your facts straight. Most of the OT also has a better 40 time than OBJ also.

He is a superstar playing in The media capital of the world. You have to be skim milk not to be in the news all the time.
Also, has anything besides injury affected him on the field? The dude is incredible.

I'd have a hard time being a star in the Big Apple with fame, wealth and money to blow.

Some kids mature faster than others and alot of that has to do with their upbringing.
