Only 400k of Brian Kelly's salary would be from the state. Rest is TAF/booster money

Since LSU athletics is self sustaining, it's likely the while he is technically a state employee, 0 of his base salary is actually tax payer dollars

And yes revenue reaches 100m, but the economic impact of LSU football is in the billions

Long story short, learn the details before you complain, otherwise pound sand

Yet there’s no problem forking over 325 million to a baseball player over a ten year span.

First of all frick every politician. The past few years especially I've watched people turn on their friends and neighbors because of their preference in color of tie they like on their shite bag. I don't know why. These incompetent arse hats are NOT your friend

Based on the current composition of Congress, it’s safe to say at least half of them are upset because they hate capitalism. I’m sure the ones voicing their opinions also hate the free society we have and have worked like hell for the last 21 months or more to put an end to it.

How is this their concern?

And yeah…my life is way more peaceful since I quit watching the news a few months ago.

A&M got a perennial 4 loss coach for their money. I think we did a lot better.

I would like to express concern about the "consulting" salaries for retired members of Congress.

How about concern over billionaires who make and keep their wealth at the expense of taxpayers subsidizing them via tax breaks or social welfare due to low pay and/or no benefits?

Another word we could use for their "concern" is envy.

The real word however is “Marxist”

Greedy politicians want a cut!!! Nothing but Big Brother wanting more control over us. Pay the coaches whatever the free market provides for.

Is this true for every school though? Like in LSUs case, they absolutely need to f*** off, given our revenue/TAF set up, etc.

But what about schools that jack up tuition on students? Isn’t that happening amongst some of the poors? I know some of them run wildly unsustainable athletic departments and put that burden on parents. I realize congress isn’t the answer but that’s not cool either.

And yet they completely are blind to the fact that Dr. Fauchi, the little twerp, makes more than any other government official. Yeah, right! They should shut the f--k up because what they make under the table surely outweighs what they make above the table!

Yep. The only time Congress gets upset about how much people make… is when they feel they personally are not receiving that money. So they find a way to get it.

It’s 535 people living like Louis XIV.

That's funny. Every intelligent college student is just as puzzled by the congressman that make $175K/yr but be worth MILLIONS in only a few years.

At least coaches are paid fair market value for a service.....capitalism at its best and EARN their money.
