Premium seats at baseball have to be repriced to start. There are far too many legacy fans who buy the purple, gold and Champions Club tickets and never come to the games. The suites are all repricing in 2027.
The revenue potential is there in baseball but we aren't taking advantage of it right now.,,A baseball ticket at $10-24 is way too low especially in the grandstands. Make the tickets $30-50 and people who really want to go will attend. Tickets are too cheap to give up right now.
There are enough rabid Tiger baseball fans to sell out that stadium at 2-3 X 's the current cost. Repricing tickets should generate $6-7M. All for baseball. The big Tiger baseball donors will continue what they do which is likely $3-4 M more.

That's nice and all, but it doesn't exist if it's not in the official financial documents they publish.
What does this even mean
For external facing budget purposes, the media rights are one line item. Doesn't mean they don't know internally what should go where.

Are there any other sports that are included under that umbrella?
Not every sport is equal under the media rights deal. This is not a controversial take. Yall are confusing what you care about versus what the media rights are worth because you want to slam a women's program for taking resources.

You crazy, if a MLB club offered him a manager job he gotta go!! To coach the best players in the world is once in a lifetime opportunity!

He’s competitive and he’s already won two natties here. It’s the human nature to start looking for what’s next. This doesn’t surprise me at all.
Me either. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him take a job. Houston Astros come calling and you don't think Jay would take a strong look?

You think raising ticket prices will make more people buy them?

How often do you think Alex Box has a sell out?

What does this even mean the numbers are announced, bird brain. Google it yourself.
I'm looking at the fricking financials you retard.
Everything is broken down by sport. It's how I know Baseball beats Women's Basketball at every turn.
You're talking out of your arse, I'm looking at the fricking numbers.

You can't grasp that the rev share is not divided up by the way revenue actually comes into the athletic department, but you're convinced I don't know what I'm talking about.

The overwhelming majority of the media rights deal for all other sports was driven by women’s basketball. You won’t see that on a financial report next to their sport. That’s what he’s trying to tell you.

Which don't have media rights included or broken out by sport, which is what we're talking about here, not ticket sales and fricking hot dogs.
Learn what you're looking at or just don't be a dick if you don't know what you're talking about.

Something is definitely up and surely everyone can read the signs. Is he disappointed that administration hasn't committed more to baseball after winning 2 Championships? He seems frustrated or not content anymore.

Cool. But there are no media rights distributions listed for any sports that aren't Football and Men's basketball.

I get what you are trying to say, but do you have any bumpers to back it up? Like what percentage of the media rights deal is due to women’s basketball?

Jesus Christ…..
I guess that money just doesn’t exist then. Oh well.

If it exists, and is applicable to Women's Basketball, shouldn't it be listed in the entry for Women's Basketball, like the other sport specific media distributions are?
Seems like it would be an easy way to not show us losing $8MM a year on it.

I've always felt that he will leave us eventually. I dont know if there are many college programs that could offer him enough to draw him away from a program like LSU but a major league job could be intriguing. Hes already won 2 national championships and is young enough to test the MLB waters and if he doesnt like it or succeed he could go back and finish his career in college. I think as long as Skip is still with us, Jay will be here. Once Skip is gone, Jay will be more open to leaving.
