Some fun stats on a few new defensive players

Princewill Umanmielen was third in the SEC in sacks last year with nine. Sacks kill drives and win games. Princewill had more than double the sacks that LSU’s sack leader, Harold Perkins, had with 4.
For a guy who was a tackling machine at Ole Miss and led the SEC in total tackles with 98, TJ Dottery kind of flies under the radar as a transfer. Tackling is kind of an important skill in football. (Davhon Keys wasn't far behind Dottery)
For those who think solo tackles is a more important skill than total tackles, not to worry. Ty Benefield was second in the nation is solo tackles with 70. Thats second in the “nation” and from the safety position, no less. Its no wonder that Whit Weeks pegged Benefield as a “baller” and the biggest standout in Spring practice.
Yeah I know all the sayings about stats meaning nothing. Well they do and they dont. If you’re at or near the top of the SEC or the nation in tackling stats, it probably at least means you’re a good tackler, so there’s that. Baker got some decent new tools for his toolbox.

No team will get to 20 points on this defense this year. 85 Bears and 26 LSU will be widely regarded as the greatest defenses to ever be assembled. Enjoy the ride.

This will be one of the best defenses Kiffin's ever had, and should be the best he's had with any team not named Bama.

That's not true. They're sad enough as is, no need to make shite up

They say that about Dottery lol. They say he was super overrated and couldn't cover for anything if his life depended on it. According to them, that's why his tackles were so high because he was doing it from behind constantly lol.

Yet they probably think Carius Curne is the next Richmond Webb

The crazy part is Keys only started 4 or 5 games and played 2 less games, finished with 92 tackles.

Those are two bold claims.

I'd like to see how they play first . . . at least one game.
