Solutions for better fans to keep fans in the stadium

1. Better fans.

3. Bring back more of the traditional Band songs, and get them more involved rather than the crappy music over the system all the time!
Pretty much universal agreement on this from LSU Alums and Fans, but it's probably going to take some form of legal action (Or threat of legal action) to get the stubborn Delicate Genius's in the LSUAD to Cease and Desist with the irritating PIM.

Who in the AD came up with this idea for PIM and for what reasoning, as it is only a fairly recent annoyance. Didn't have it at all until some point in time after the new Century. Certainly wasn't there during the 70's/80's/90's.

Nothing more than a massive irritation that serves no useful purpose and takes away from the actual game experience.

Although all of these are good suggestions and would probably get more people to stay, I just think there are a lot of people in there now that just don't really give a shite. I'm like anyone that uses the phone a lot, but if a person can't go 3 hours without great WiFi service during an LSU game, then they really don't give a shite that much and aren't really in to the game.

As mentioned, for numerous students it's fun for a quarter seeing friends, being seen, taking selfies, and then the fun is over for them.

There are numerous older people that are more interested in the game than the students, but they really don't have the energy to drive in from wherever they drive in from and stay throughout the game. They're pretty boring and are usually the cranky ones that get upset if you stand up for at TD, but just can't bring themselves to let go (and let go of their tickets).

Then there are the guys with the two small kids and the wife who doesn't know the difference between a football and a basketball that come for about two quarters before realizing that life as it once was is over and they don't want to spend two more quarters standing in line at the concession stand for the kids and wife, going to the bathroom with the kids, etc.

So I guess my solution is some new fans in the stands...

Would be cool to have a lounge similar to the Coors Light Cool Zone in the Superdome. Even if alcohol wasn't served. A nice place to stretch your legs and grab a bite to eat while still being able to watch the game would be a nice change.

Hahaha...I feel for you, man. I've sat by a few people in that situation. I know it's not easy, so I tip my cap to you for the effort.

I recall marching pregame in TS after our high school band finished in the top three in the state marching festival.

If that's what you're calling band night, then heck yeah I remember!

#5 is one of the ones I agree with the most.

Tiger Stadium as it is, can be incredibly uncomfortable.

I agree man, and people pay out of their butts for the entire gameday experience, from parking, to food and drinks, to the tickets you pay for, and shirts etc. Why not just invest in buying chairbacks for the entire stadium? I have some back problems from getting into wrecks when I was younger, so when I go sometime I have to get up and go stand in the tunnel for a while.

How will any of those improve the post game traffic?

I drive 8 hours from TN to come to home games and am so glad to put up with all of the "supposed" problems that give TS it's character that I never leave early because I'm so glad to just be there. Everyone used to have this attitude, but we've got soft.
This more exciting brand of offense will keep us in the stands with or without WIFI.

That's an SEC rule not an LSU rule. It's not going to change.

Not going to happen. LSU makes way too much money and gets way too much national exposure with the neutral site games.

The answer to the OP question is:

(1) Fix postgame traffic issues
(2) renovate all bathrooms and concession stands in the stadium
(3) better food selection in stadium
(4) better wifi and cell coverage in stadium

This right here is major. We are living in one of the best food states in the country and we can't come up with anything better than orange jambalaya and a limp gray Tiger burger? WTF? This summer I went to 5 MLB parks and each one had fantastic stadium food. Even the most basic hotdogs and hamburgers were light years above the dog food in Tiger Stadium. The regional specialties (like the Crazy Crab burger at AT&T park, San Francisco) were incredible...so with our local talent and local resources, why are we not doing this?

This is my profession, and this is a much bigger undertaking than it sounds on paper. I would love free, working, fast wifi in Tiger Stadium but 100k people/devices complicates the issue.

Agreed. That's a lot of area to cover, devices to consider, and bandwidth needs. By no means is it impossible, but it's a large endeavor and require some expensive equipment.

Worth thinking about. We used to play Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame, USC in DV instead of cupcake u's. And there's no neutral site that is even close to being a home site. Lambeau was not a neutral site for sure, and Houston/Dallas is not our turf either. Those neutral site games, even the Chik-fil-A, never start off like a true home opener. We always start off slow in those games anyway.
