I do not understand the softball strike zone. The same pitch 4 inches off the plate is being called 50/50 ball and strike. Is that normal?

Arguably Heavener’s best game of the season. Definitely the most complete game in a while. If she can start pitching like this and Berzon finds more consistency, this team is going to be tough to beat.
