I dont care how good the Bama pitcher is. You get 6 at bats against the same pitcher between the 2 games and can't get a ball in play is sad.

Approaches could have been better. But hats also off to Moten & Briski. Those 2 are super talented, tough to deal with and both great young ladies. With that said, would have been nice to see us compete a little better.

We did out hit them today 7 - 6, so there's that. Much more competitive than yesterday when they out hit us, what, 10 (or more) to 1.

I don't know if this is a joke or not, but I guess Jada Phillips. Char also can catch (but she will probably take Hodges spot at 3rd) or they can go portal.
The biggest loss is Lassiter. They will need a Pitcher in the portal also.

My guess is 4-8 in the portal depending on exits which I expect many….addition by subtraction

We have good freshman coming in, but I don't know if they will be able to start with most of the starters from this team still eligible.

If they've been here two years and don't look like they're walking into a starting spot next year, just consider most that fit that criteria gone. A bunch of freshman on this team with a big class coming in so probably a couple of the soon to be sophomores leaving. We saw with the basketball team anybody can get poached so who knows.

I feel pretty good that all of the following starters will return to their position:
1B T. Edwards
2B Daniel
SS K. Edwards
RF Franklin
Lorenz will probably be in the mix somewhere. Maybe Hutchins too. But both under-performed this year.
Next year's CF is probably not currently on the roster. One of the incoming freshmen is supposed to be really good and they will probably grab another one from the portal.
I don't have any idea about 3rd base of LF. Hopefully Laneaux can return from her injury and regain last year's form. Of this year's freshmen, nothing stood out. Rylie Johnson has promise and Destiny Harris showed flashes at times, but both got buried the last few weeks.
I don't believe Phillips is at all the answer at catcher. They will get one from the portal and an incoming freshman is supposed to be good there too.
Heavener, Clapton, and Cellura are all back. And I think Cali Deal has a chance to crack the rotation. But I think she needs to add a high-end pitcher from the portal.
Will there be a shocking portal entry from a secure starter? Possibly but I hope not. But all it takes is one person to get into a kid's ear with an offer, and off they go.

Who cares - anyone on the bench is better than her. 4 yrs of pure trash at the catcher position, so happy that is done. She can now go back to catching frogs. Worst catcher in LSU Softball history.
