I agree. If she catches that ball, it’s orobably a double play somewhere with how bunched up the runners were coming home. (It was less than two outs, right?)

Yes, it was difficult on the wall, but catchable.

Oh well, frustrating loss today, but better than getting mown down and surrendering.

Good series to take one against Florida on the road.

Beth’s teams have always played their best in crunch time.

Well, the season has reached crunch time.

Yea, i thought she could have caught it also, sucks to have lost but If and that's a big if we can swing the bat like we did in the 5th we should be okay. Hope Allie and Carley are alright. MB and Sunseri are the real deal just UF made adjustments to Sunseri and like you said MB just ran out of steam.

This was the most Sunseri and Maribeth have pitched in their entire careers here. It was on the road to a top 5 team, no shame at all. I hope we can build offensively, we didn't have a bunch of hits this weekend but the few that we did have luckily put up runs for us.

1-3 literally were completely shut down

It was Sanchez, Sunseri, Schlattman who all hit this weekend.

It almost seemed like maybe she thought it was going out and she was planning to leap and rob the homer run. Then it maybe died and landed short and her timing was off. Seemed to be clearly in postiion to make teh play. Tough way to lose a game.

Bright side some young players grew up this weekend and really competed against an outstanding team on the road and got clutch hits.

The All American pitchers got to rest their arms a little for the stretch run and a great staff suddenly looks even deeper.

We had some strong points. I hope Hoover and Walljasper heal quickly, but also glad for the experience for Sunseri and Gorsuch.

What channel is the game on. It’s not ESPN2 in Dallas!

Emily should have caught the ball. You have to play the ball not the fence. With all that hang time and considering who wAs batting Emily should have been in position to catch the ball. Too many college softball outfielders let the ball hit the fence rather than go after it in the air.

I’m also fine with letting our underclassmen get the experience. We will need it for the post-season

That was a good series, nothing at all to be ashamed of. Barnhill is a great pitcher. Our two younger pitchers did well.

Other than what happened with the fly ball in centerfield, the only other thing I'd gripe about is we have forsaken pitch recognition and replaced it with "pitch guessing", and the guessing is done before the pitch is even on the way. They decide beforehand that they are either going to swing or not swing, and thats why all those beautufil, flat fastballs come right over the plate and the LSU batters just watch them.

Still, though, good series, a glimmer of hope. I'd be happy if i was the head coach.

I thought she mis-timed her jump also. She could have caught it. But I’m glad to see how we battled this weekend. We have proved we can hang with the best of them. We just need to play our game and have the timely hits.

Overall, I'm very pleased with our effort at UF. Lots of teams wish they could win 1 game there and we were so very close to winning the series on their senior weekend. Lots of good things to build momentum on for the rest of the year.

Its normal to take a glance at the wall but you have to do it early enough to where you got time to find the ball again with your eyes.. she waited too long to look for the wall. When you are going sideways on the warning track you are no able to calculate steps like you can when you are going straight back.

Good game. Gave the Gators a real scare. The long ball error probably cost LSU the series.

wonder what this does for our rpi? If we can win the series against Arkansas and have a good showing in the SEC tournament I assume we would for sure host a regional possibly even a super if we go far in the SEC tournament.

Just off the top of my head, I think we need to reach the SECT finals to host a SR.

I am not sold we host a supers if we even reach the finals. But I do think LSU could possibly move to between 9-11 with a strong performance to end the season. I want a favorable match up for Supers. I would rather face a potent offense then face a team with an elite staff.

Of course you have to look at how teams in front of us do to finish the season.

As of now LSU is 12 in RPI

South Carolina, Arizona, Tennessee, and Arizona State currently are ahead of us. Georgia is on the bubble for at 7.
