Join me.

This team is still in the developmental stages in many key areas, guys. This was Mett's first taste of SEC road fire- and it happened to be in one of the SEC's most vicious venues- year in & year out.

They could've folded under the pressure they were under- but still found a way to win through some really great defense up front. That's what wins in the SEC.

There's still time to make adjustments where it's needed. Have faith, gents.

Huge statement to get out of there with a win. When you play Auburn, especially at their place, throw out the records. Given the fact that we had 2 turnovers early that kept the crowd in it the entire time, we were still able to march down the field in the end to basically kill the clock. Then your defense comes through as it had all night

Pretty stout defense. Offense had some miscues that kept it close.

No need for panic yet, though my opinion on how the Florida game is going to turn out has changed significantly.

No need to panic. Auburn deserves a lot of credit, they played extremely hard and gained confidence as the game stayed close. Tough environment with a QB making first road start. Had to overcome turnovers and penalties (albiet self-induced). To play so poorly yet win the game is a relief. The performance was disappointing, but no team is going to be at thier best every week. I think we improve going forward and will have the opportunity to win every game on the schedule. Will we? Who knows, that's why they play the game.

Me. Penalties and untimely Turnovers count in 1st road game and mediocre OL had more to do with this than all these crybabies talking about playcalling

Not at panic point.
I predicted at beginning of season that our only loss would be to Bama. Now I say we lose to either Florida our SC also.

Can't win them all every year. Just enjoy the ride as this is a pretty damn good team.

:raiseshand:

We just won a close game at Auburn. Does anyone remember how hard that is to do, even with Auburn being subpar? Chicken littles on his board are pathetic.

I think if we don't fumble deep in our own territory while up 9-0 ...we win going away. Their fans and players were reguvinated after they got it to 9-7. Then it was game on..

Yep. The turnovers, dropped passes, and penalties dictated the playcalling.

We're gonna be fine.

I'm more worried about the Saints. At least we have a defense.

No panic here. SEC opener on the road in a stadium we have more trouble in than any other. Disappointed in the score, sure. Disappointed in the win, no way.

Obviously we have areas that have to be worked on but I saw nothing that can not be fixed.

Not worried at all. It was the first SEC game of the season and turned out to be a tough one. In the end, it was a tough win on the road. LSU could have easily been ahead by 17 at the half, but typical road errors kept Auburn in the game and gave them hope in a must win for them. Lots of penalties and miscues in the second half. That is something that will have to improve. The good news is that it IS something than can improve. We get a week to correct some issues, regain some confidence, and hopefully get some guys healthy before the next test. All is good.
