Not with Edward Orgeron as HC. Ain’t gonna happen.

Bama and saban are human. I know Tua elevates then even more, but LSU will have the personnel and seemingly a new offensive game plan that has proven to be the only way to beat them.

Wasn't he supposed to only win 7 at best this year? If he's so bad, and E is not a real OC, how did this season happen? How did LSU attain the ranking they will have when it's all over?

BS talking point is BS.

ETA: The bar for next year is 10 wins in the regular season. I'd look closer to 11, but playing Texas on the road seems like it would be an acceptable loss as long as it isn't in embarrassing fashion.

Pathetic. We are just as talented as bama in terms of personnel, particularly with additions on the OL this class.

This is just false. Bama has recruited at a level above any school over the past 4 years.

Anyone expecting 10-2 and a loss to bama has to ask themselves why the narrative has shifted with a new HC

The narrative hasn't shifted at all...It's not like Les was fired for going 10-2. Les didn't win 10 regular season games in any of his last 4 seasons. (2016 was obviously incomplete, but he was 2-2 to start with Bama still on the schedule, so I think it's a fair assumption)

i'm saying beating bama (the team that became a dynasty bc CLM couldn't beat them) with the greatest talent they ever had at bama is unrealistic but not impossible

9-3 (10-3) is the bar, as we have just established that this season. Expectations might be 10-2 or 11-1 but the bar was set at 10-3

In terms of what LSU added this class on the line, what we have returning at QB and WR, we compare on talent.

They of course will be a notch above us in numerous areas, and certainly in depth. But if LSU is healthy going into the Bama game, we will have comparable talent.

He would have had 10 in 2015 if the McNesse game wasn't cancelled. And I don't think there is any reason to think Les wouldn't have won all the games O did in '16 as well as most likely beating that garbage UF team. If we're going to be fair as you say.

so Les essentially got fired 4 games after a 10 win season.

Can’t drop a game that we SHOULD win like we did this year.
Fla and eatme

If Alabama is better than us and we lose then we just lose.
Auburn, fla, pig and eatme are all at home.
Ole miss and state will be down from this year.
I’m expecting a big year in 2019.
Let’s hope the early departures are over with and we finish with a bang in recruiting.

With the amount we have returning, and clearly our QB hitting his stride, I have to think it’s winning the conference, right?

In Orgeron's third year? Absolutely. The "rebuild" is over.

the program had fallen off since 2011. We haven't been elite since then. This will be our best season since 2011.

Burrow finished the season ranked 36th in passing yards. He's steadily improved and believe 3200 or more yards in 2019 isn't out of the question

Rushing is where it got sketchy, pretty low average per carry on the season. I don't think 2700 yards is a high bar to set for next year.

10 win regular season and 11 wins period. If 11 wins gets us to the playoff great but 11 wins is the benchmark and has to be accomplished for it to be a successful season. The only loss that is truly acceptable will be bama with 1 other mulligan any more than 2 losses and coach O will be on the hot seat.

that is just plain football stupid. We aren't very close to bama, especially OL and depth everywhere. Nobody on our offense would start for them. Let that sink in. Only 3 defenders would start for them. Very little else on the team besides kicker would get much playing time.
