So what'd you think of Husky Stadium?

We all HATE the track - but other than that, was it louder than you expected? Were you treated well at the tailgate scene, etc.?

FWIW, here's a drawing of one of the proposed remodels/rebuilds...

This particular option would increase seating to somewhere around 90K, remove the track and add an upper deck to the West end. Bigger, louder, much better.

Good luck the rest of the way.

I had to take Dramamine to watch the first quarter on TV. You would think that they could reinforce the structure of the stadium so that it wouldn't rock so much when the fans were jumping up and down.

Outside was great. Beautiful place. Inside, needs a few things. Restrooms in upper section. Never to run out of Coke, Water, ICE, etc. Stair treads are a little too small, with the angle going down, good thing for the handrails.

View was great looking over the water. Nice group of fans. Some could be an A$$. We love the city and from the locals, we tip better than most. WE spend and drink more. Most locals want us back, I'd like a return trip.

Thanks for everything. We fly to Canada then back to ATL in the morning......

Didn't have any problem with your stadium or crowd noise. A great time with the fans. Tailgating doesn't compare with Tiger Stadium but then nowhere else does either.

All in all a great expierence except of course for the Tigers play. The Huskies are gonna surprise some folks. Good luck the rest of the way!

I'm jealous of Washington having Mark Emmert. That idea has his name written all over it.

Like others have said, make areas for the camera to be that doesn't shake with the rest of the foundation. I felt like I was playing NCAA 2004 on the Playstation 2 while watching it.

It blows, but I am jaded with being in Tiger Stadium. The track and seating in the endzone has got to go.

Track did suck.I wasin the endzone and had to watch most of the game on the scoreboard. Stadium was very loud. Not Tiger Stadium loud but very respectable. All of the UW fans I met were great.

Would love to return and spend a week in Seattle. Definately a world class city.

it wasn't too pretty watching on tv - they need to stabilize the stadium so the cameraman doesn't look drunk

Based on the picture, they will get rid of the track. Is that the plan?

It was an awesome experience. Pretty damn unique. The stadium was fine, with some incredible views. The crowd was into it- I'd certainly come back.

UW will surprise people this year.

Have to agree. Especially on the close-ups of the QB's calling signals.

One of the most beautiful settings in college football. The stadium does need upgrades, glad to see that happening. Most fans were very nice people, most students were inebriated before the game.

While I didn't attend the game, on TV it sounded pretty good, and more than I had really expected to be honest with you, although I have heard it's pretty loud in the past.

Trouble is that UW wanted $150 million in state money for the stadium upgrade, and WSU wasn't getting any so they basically blocked it in the state legislature, right?

Removing the track is always a good call. Ohio State, Texas and Texas A&M removed their track and improved their stadium. (A&M only removed the big loopy part from the endzone... Silly Aggies.)

The stadium was somewhat disappointing in that the view of the playing field from the end zone made it feel that we were seated in another state. Also, the design of the stadium is unique in that the roof acts like a theatre ceiling and reflects all of the noise towards the field. A stadium full of mice would sound like a herd of buffalo. However, I will say that the fans were really into it....they were loud from the beginning to the end. They were also some of the nicest fans I've ever run across. Tailgating reminded me of a small Ole Miss Grove........somewhat cramped and laid back. Seattle is a great city, with lots to do....athough a bit pricey. It didn't stop Tiger fans from having a great time and giving the economy a big boost. Several of the restaurants and bars mentioned that they couldn't believe how much the Tiger fans could eat and drink.

Stadium itself is a dump.

But fans were great. Treated us well. Surprisingly good tailgating.

Fans were louder during the game than expected, but certainly not an SEC atmosphere.

Beautiful area surrounding campus too. Thought there would be more boat travel to the game though.

Overall, definitely a great trip.

Considering it is the oldest stadium on the West Coast not bad, great views for those sitting in the end zones it did suck though. The people were great, their fans were loyal for a team that went 0-12 last year. And as many people have already noted a much better team than we expected. We need to get some things in order but we will look back and be thankful for this W. I would enjoy a trip back.

Atmosphere was electric. U-Dub will definetely have some upsets this year. How does anyone have the Be-alls to get up in that press box?!

Agree with this...was impressed with the noise & enthusiasm, more like an SEC game, which is a lot more than I can say for teams like USC, which is mostly bandwagon fans...
