I think anything worse that 10-2 IMO would be a disappointing season.

You are leading the WR with a 10-2 record. It’s possible. But that too high if an expectation.

If we go 9-3 again, it will have been a good coaching job IMO. We overachieved last year.

Yeah from a very small group of morons.

Most people here that actually watch football understand the constantly changing variables throughout a season that can change outcomes.

I hate to sound cliché but one game at a time.

BK said the team isn’t ready in year 2, should expect to be competing for a championship in year 3.

I think he’s taking the Kim Mulkey approach of underpromise, over deliver. He knows what he has this year but he’s not gonna publicly set expectations for a championship in year 2

9-3 should be the floor for this team.

10-2 is my expectation

11-1 is my hope

Look, we have 3 losable ballgames on our record that I can tell just from the outset. FSU, Alabama, and aTm. I believe those games we have a greater than 25% chance of losing. Not saying we will, but on paper, those are the three best teams we’ll play.

Then throw in Ole Miss, Florida, and possibly Arky/Auburn and who are always tough outs, and we’ve got some true land mine ballgames.

Realistically, 9-3 would be a pretty bland season. 8-4 would be very very disappointing.

I think we should go 11-1 but am not naive enough to think that this is a team without a question mark or two.

Everyone healthy, 8-4 would be super disappointing.

If something happens like an injury to JD, does Kelly get a pass?

The SEC West is going to be a bloodbath. Very balanced this year. 7-2 could win it. I don’t think anyone goes 8-0 over there

I would call that having an average year. Not bad or good.

We went 9-3 last year with a first year head coach and a team stitched together with duct tape.

We're now in year two with BK, with the majority of our two-deep returning, along with elite transfers and a full freshman class. Going 9-3 again would definitely be a disappointment.

I’m with the crowd that says 9-3 would not be ideal, but I wouldn’t automatically label it a disappointment. Factors like injuries can change a team’s fortunes pretty significantly.

8-4 would absolutely be a disappointment.

Doesn’t matter that LSU is ‘better than’ everyone but Alabama. You have to play the game. Favored teams lose. Expect 9-3 as even a trip to Missouri is not a given win.

I am in it for the championships. This is our year. We have tons of talent, and we have a returning experience quarterback. Anything more than one loss is disappointing to me.

12-0 would be amazing

11-1 seems doable

10-2 seems likely

9-3 would bare minimum

8-4 or worse is unacceptable

lol, really? Any SEC game could be a loss. Seasons in which LSU didn’t lose at least one game they weren’t supposed to are very few and far between.

I don't see a team on the schedule we are not better than, but Alabama is Alabama.

One loss?

I said it should be the floor didn't say it was going to happen. In the same vein the ceiling is 15-0.
