Just curious what ya'll think. I would like to see something like this:

1. Dishon RF
2. Mahtook CF
3. Dean 1B / LF
4. Koeneman DH / 1B
5. Hanover 2B / 3B
6. Landry LF
7. Dozar 3B (I think he plays C or 3B right?)
8. Gibbs C
9. Nola SS

Looks pretty good to me. Don't know too much about the incoming freshmen so it may need to be tweaked for my lack of knowledge on these guys. Also, I thought I heard Dozar could play third but not sure. Heard Dishon could possibly play a number of positions. Also, what would it be like if Schimpf came back - but please don't turn this into a debate on that.

Thanks.

Have to believe Didier will be in the mix before seasons end.

If PM allows Brody Colvin to play OF and pitch, I'd expect him to push someone out of a starting position in time. But he may be limited to the mound depending on team needs.

I put Gibbs 8 just because I think 6-9 could vary and I'd like to see some power in the middle of the line up. He could easily be higher like this year I think. But you saw what happened when he got moved down and Ochinko got moved up.

Also, put Landry in left cuz that's where we saw him last. I don't see why he couldn't play left with dishon in right. Why not?

Landry's position in the batting order could be dependent on how much he progresses this off-season. He might be batting higher in the order if he can get his hitting back. When he's hot, he's electric!

Personally, I think that Chad Jones is going to be an outfield starter on days when he isn't likely to pitch. He just has too much power to leave on the bench if he can get his swing together, and I think that will happen because I think Miles will likely let him skip spring football next year.

Don't know where Tiger Golfer gets his ideas. Landry is the LFer.

If Landry can progress enough to not be a liability in the lineup, I'd like to see him hit 2nd. You like to have a lefty hitting 2nd, so if your leadoff guy is on 2nd base, they can pull the ball to get him over to 3rd with 1 one out. Also, hitting in front of Dean might get him more fastballs. Hanover could also be good in the 2-hole. I really don't see Mahtook there. I think he either hits 4th or 5th. I think he's going to grow into his power and be a 20-homer guy by the time he leaves.

Being a starter at FS he will in now way be allowed to skip spring practice. Jones will work almost entirely out of the bullpen next year IMO. His left arm is invaluable.

I don't see how people don't realize this. There is absolutely zero chance Les lets him skip spring football. And he shouldn't let him. I love Big Les, but he was getting way too much love for "letting" Jared Mitchell skip spring this year. Seeing as how he was almost guaranteed to not play football in '09, it was not some huge sacrifice on Les's part. I would imagine Jared didn't need or even ask for Les's permission anyway.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Nola move up a few spots. I know he had a low average this past season but he was a true freshman and was asked to bunt alot. The kid can definatly hit

He also got a lot better as the season went on. I think he is going to be a totally different looking hitter next year.

Well, after football next year, Chad Jones will have the potential to be drafted in two sports. I don't see how the situation is so different, except that Chad Jones is a better football player than Jared Mitchell.

It's different because Chad Jones is a much better football player than Jared Mitchell. And Mitchell is probably a much better baseball player than Chad(right now). And football starters have to be at Spring Practice. Period.
