Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing Grant play some if not the majority at DT and McCray at his former DE spot.

He just isn't very big though right? You guys think Taylor can get big enough relatively quick?

So we take Mike Taylor as a middle linebacker or OLB Lynx? Where do you think he projects?

Read somewhere that the 4.71 was "impressive on the slow surface" or something like that.

That is really a shame because this kid had some great skills and athleticism. He was one guy, no matter if he had signed with us or another school, that I was looking forward to following over the next couple of years.
If I remember correctly, he wanted to be a pharmacist or something like that. Maybe this will lead to him turning his studies to cardiology to help others with this?
Glad they caught it early before something happened to the young man. Good luck to him and his studies.

I didn't say it was the end all be all, just the best overall judge in my opinion. There will always be exceptions. He was also a 2 star so the stars route didn't work in this case either. Just saying.
ETA: go check out his rivals page and also read the story on his Miami trip. I would link but im on my phone. Page says he had offers from LSU, OK St, Colorado, and story says he had a Miami offer. I thought I heard that. Those are some great offers for a "2 star" player. Once again, just saying.

re: NCAA 2010 Rosters: How to get them
Posted by TRUSTtheWIZZARD on 7/23/09 at 7:09 pm to TigerBait1127
Ok I want to get rosters for my dynasty but I can't get them to load. I downloaded the eascncaa10 rosters and renamed ( I'm on xbox). Saved and uploaded the roster to my locker. I back out to the main screen and hit team management and I have the same position and numbers. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong that can help. Thanks.
ETA: I used lanteri87 like the other thread suggests and my rosters populated.

re: Bates and Welter and examining our un(der)ranked players
Posted by TRUSTtheWIZZARD on 7/22/09 at 9:16 pm to tigerfan4120
Good post. I'm from the Northshore and I have seen Bates play twice and he didn't blow me away other than the fact that he never quits on a play (que the high motor comments). I watched St Pauls play Mandeville and he didn't do much (Mandy's line was decent at best). Just don't know because I don't think he can gain enough weight for DL and the clips I him at LB were pretty shaky. Hope he develops and can contribute and prove he is worth it. I'm going to make a point to go to a couple of his games this year as well.

I could care less about stars. The offer sheet is the best indication of ability but you kinda have to analyze that too because you have doucebags like Tennessee offering everyone.

KIMBO!!!!
Kidding.... Needs to be Fedor. I don't know anybody else that Lesner wouldn't just manhandle.

I think the obvious answer is Tyson Jackson afterthat karate chop I saw last year.
But Alem is the scariest dude from the team that I have seen in person.

Storm is a beast and I hope he does commit today. But let him do it how he wants and when he wants. Anyone who says they don't care about his committment is on something.
re: So what will the batting order look like with Dean back?
Posted by TRUSTtheWIZZARD on 7/11/09 at 10:31 am to Bigpoppat
I put Gibbs 8 just because I think 6-9 could vary and I'd like to see some power in the middle of the line up. He could easily be higher like this year I think. But you saw what happened when he got moved down and Ochinko got moved up.
Also, put Landry in left cuz that's where we saw him last. I don't see why he couldn't play left with dishon in right. Why not?

Just curious what ya'll think. I would like to see something like this:
1. Dishon RF
2. Mahtook CF
3. Dean 1B / LF
4. Koeneman DH / 1B
5. Hanover 2B / 3B
6. Landry LF
7. Dozar 3B (I think he plays C or 3B right?)
8. Gibbs C
9. Nola SS
Looks pretty good to me. Don't know too much about the incoming freshmen so it may need to be tweaked for my lack of knowledge on these guys. Also, I thought I heard Dozar could play third but not sure. Heard Dishon could possibly play a number of positions. Also, what would it be like if Schimpf came back - but please don't turn this into a debate on that.
Thanks.
