How much playing time did that #12 have at osu. If he is good it should matter. The question is he that good.

The aTm and Bowl games showed that Cam is throwing the old offense out. The Dural "jet sweep", plus fakes off that was just the simplest, most effective type of change he could make. He's a professional - he's going to see what offenses are working against the defenses in our league - it is not Cam's fault, except for developing the QBs (to which he's admitted) - he had a starting (or nearly) quality NFL QB plus 2 NFL ROY candidates at wideout and a beastly NFL-caliber RB in 2013 - it's hard to turn that on a dime. Try that offense without the horsepower (particularly at QB), and you get what we got in 2014.

If Harris develops to just young Matt Flynn in quality, with the rest of the offense we have (RBs and WRs that are the envy of the league), we'll be better than fine in 2015.

Here is a trend that needs to reverse:

LSU Since 2011
Overall SEC Bowl
Year Win Loss Win % Win Loss Win % Win
2011 13 1 92.9% 8 0 100.0% No
2012 10 3 76.9% 6 2 75.0% No
2013 10 3 76.9% 5 3 62.5% Yes
2014 8 5 61.5% 4 4 50.0% No

. You pumpers are amazing. It's not like he just turned mett lose in 2013. There were 6 current NFL starters on that offense. The man can't adjust to his talent level. Sure, the offense was pretty good it 2013, but he had the talent to make his bland offense function because they were extremely talented. There are teams all around the country who adjust their offense to the talent on the team every season. The coaches see what they're good at and use their strengths and miles just runs the same thing regardless of skill sets. So to me, that makes him a terrible fricking coach.

So a terrible coach just wins 80% of his games at LSU (62% of league games in the toughest conference in CFB) by just blind, stinking luck?

So, Archer/Hallman/Dinardo were just "unlucky" (Hallman, particularly, the other 2 were good coaches in their own way)?

I think Mies continues with Jennings and goes down with the ship. He's too stubborn to change.

Did you see Trey Quinn miss two open balls vs Bama with the game on the line, one when a catch would have meant a first down to keep the ball, leading 13-10?

Odell makes those catches. Landry makes those catches. Half the TD posters who played receiver in high school make those catches.

Diarse started after that.

Its not just on the QB.

The 2nd game is a conference road game. If he "absolutely explodes" vs Miss State on the road, "WHAT HAPPENS" is

I simply think Harris just wasn't ready last year. Should he have played more? Yes.

I hope cam gets to pick who he thinks is best for his offense.

Unfortunately for miles, like everything else, if everything goes well all the credit goes to cam. If it's an issue, it will fall on miles.

Spot on. And Quinn wasn't the only one dropping balls. Poor WR performances from time to time all year. Would have made our passing game appear much better and we may have passed more if it was working better.

What pisses me off is that Harris still doesnt have meaningful experience. I have no idea why Miles wouldnt pull AJ in the Arky game

the way it works is that the qb with the best chance to win is IN THE GAME. not just at LSU but everywhere there is a decent coach. the ohio state guy, the notre damn guy? they got ready in practice, not in games.

Also, why the frick does our offensive staff wait until a meaningless bowl game to start using motion and throwing to the te? Why wait until then to implement new wrinkles to the offense?

we tried more of these early on in the season you just have forgot. it appears that once the SEC season started, our TEAM could not execute them. yes, it was mostly the qb but we had plenty of other breakdowns.

Ya, considering when he did get in, he was calling plays from his high school playbook.
