The 1st "official" statement sentence says it all. They didn't say it was or wasn't working. Just that this is the 1st time they have heard of any issues. La. Tech knew about it a week before when they played Texas. That's a pretty clear cut answer. We still had fans to keep the players as comfortable as possible. Not a good look for the Longhorns. Makes the "W" even that more sweeter...…

Exactly. This is a thread about air conditioning. Not sure how politics is relevant. I come here to read about LSU, not people screaming at the top of their lungs in their respective political echo chambers.

Unless this is the backwoods Texas stadium, these AC systems are computerized. Just get the records as to what the temperature was set at and the actual room temps. Sure they can doctor them, but 2 weeks with 2 different teams. That would be very hard to deny!

Frick the Texas AD. I believe Coach O. Two Coaches against the word of one AD. I've read the comments of the LSU fans who were there for the game. To the fan they all said it was hot.......really hot. Furthermore, I lived in Dallas for five years, I know Texas heat. That heat will bite you if you don't rehydrate properly.
Have you folks ever seen someone go down with severe heat exhaustion? Our boys needed the cooling effect of A/C during the half-time break. They didn't get it. They then went back into the third quarter of play in the stifling heat. Shortly after the beginning of the 3rd Qtr LSU defense was subjected to a 19 play drive by Texas. The lack of A/C at halftime caught up with them and they started dropping with cramps.
By failing to provide LSU with a sufficiently cooled locker room Texas put our players at risk. Props to the LSU training staff for staying on top this.
Bottom line.....LSU still beat their a##. Time to move on.

Just hard to understand a school with respectful fans and playing on a big stage can allow its guest such miserable conditions. I don’t just mean air conditioning but the issue with granting your guest 3500 tickets, a fan base with some of the most faithful fans in the country at a venue in near vicinity to many fans. Excuses made for building and construction on your stadium but of course at the expense of your guest. It wasn’t the fault of LSU or its fans that you didn’t complete in the off season. Placing our band in the upper deck. To bad you didn’t want to hear them play as they have received many accolades over the years. I must humbly say it was the only band to be heard on my tv even though it was a fraction of the entire band. Then the issue with our cheerleaders. I’ve never witnessed anything like this and it’s not a good look for the University of Texas, it’s faculty and alumni. I hope we don’t respond the same way next year rather show off the best venue in college football and treat their fans in a way that represents the best in college football and our great state.

While I was fired up and pissed off about this yesterday, I’ve had a change of heart today... I think we should just let it play out. We won the game, in impressive fashion, and the CFB world is gushing over LSU... life is good in Tigerland.
If Texas really did do something wrong or shady here, enough people know about the story now that the reporters can take it from here IMO and get to the truth. No need for the fans to get involved. I’m aware, and many times i’m a part of, our fans thinking everything is a conspiracy against LSU.
Geaux Tigers! Helluva win, we may lose the rest of our games and never score another point this year, but at least for this week there ain’t much to complain about when it comes to LSU Tiger football.

Texas AD said the AC was in working order. He did not say the AC was ON.

I am curious as to why Woodward hasn't responded. Surely he was in the locker room at some point and can vouch for the conditions. Also, we can simply ask Louisiana Tech's coach to go on record. It shouldn't be that difficult to either prove or disprove.
