The very first comment he had about Saturday was how hot it was and the inadequacy of the AC.
The incident he was referring to in your linked tweet was something he covered a couple minutes later in the broadcast where a high school team not only failed to provide cooling, they turned the heat on.

I rarely post on here anymore, but this AC stupidity by Texas is a little much. I would be inclined to give them the benefit of the the doubt if McConaughey didn't act like such an arse. I also find it interesting that the LSU band sat in some of the worst seats in the house just to show us they can. FAce it. They got caught, and they didn't expect anybody to complain. I am sure the AC was in good working order. They just decided not to turn it on.

Incorrect.... he talked about the lack of AC in the locker room before the game then compared it to a game he played in high school where the opposing team not only didn't have the AC on but turned on the heat.

The idea that LSU simply never asked for it to be turned on is absurd. Surely the coaches would have spoken to the stadium maintenance and operations staff and gotten some kind of explanation. Was anyone told that it wasn't working? What did the stadium staff tell LSU? What did they tell Tech?

Is it possible the AC is just poor by design? Just inadequate for the space and the TX heat? It could be on full blast (and in "good working order") yet still be expected to be useless, essentially. That would allow UT to claim everything was working without lying. I mean, an Easy Bake toy oven works, but you aren't going to be able to roast a turkey with it. Coach O said in the Thursday presser that they were aware it was going to be an issue (he said they'd learned from Tech that "the locker room doesn't have much ventilation") to the point that they were bringing their own AC to put into the locker room (is this what Texas considers "one of the best visitor set ups available"?) So even if the (outdated, inadequate) AC was in perfect working order, for UT to claim they weren't aware of the issue seems dishonest... Does no one on that staff watch the opposing coach's presser?

will be interesting if the media gets the emails from the UT admin concerning anything sent or received regarding the AC not working etc. story has potential to get much bigger.

Academia is probably 85 percent progressive so Im sure there is little difference in the faculties from any major college.
