Have you looked at the departing guys stat lines?
Not much outside of Gaines at UAB.
Almost like wade was a good coach who got a lot out of his guys…..

Woodward clearly showed to LSU athletes that when the going gets tough he does not have your back. Woodward did not have to fire WW when he did and KILL last year's players hopes and dreams by eliminating their leader. The leader that they sacrificed blood, sweat and tears for the year prior leading up to the tournament. Woodward took their coach away from the players at the most critical time.
Woodward could have waited a couple of weeks but he chose to make Pat Forde and Dick Vital happy and screw over the players.
Now ask yourself what do you believe the biggest concern is for potential basketball recruits? "Coach, I like you but I don't trust your boss. I just don't feel like the LSU AD cares about basketball. He neglects the basketball facilities and when the going gets tough the players are not his first concern."

Withstanding the current players the recruiting fallout hurt a bit. Losing Julian Phillips was a major loss along with Yohan Traore.
But its not surprising they decommitted as a lot of recruits would when their coach gets fired.

Try to pay attention, those guys entered the portal before a new coach was named. Every single scholarship player. 3 of those guys withdrew from the portal after McMahon was named coach, Mwani Wilkinson, Justice Williams, and Adam Miller.

Murray is averaging 15 and play 30 plus minutes a game at Georgetown. He would have been massive for us.

Thank you for gifting Phillips to UT. He is starting to really come on of late. He is also one of the top defenders in the country as well.
