he was definitely far more willing to put the ball up and give his receiver a chance to make a play in the CMU game versus the first two weeks. Hope to see more of that going forward.

The change from the past two weeks was impressive. He looked so much more comfortable.

I cannot be the only person seeing Shanahan getting pushed back like he’s wearing roller blades…

You think this pace keeps up against 8 SEC defenses?
I can see it happening.

Some teams will hold him down more, others he will light up.

You gotta expect maybe 400 yds and 5 TDs against Ole Miss (which may not be enough).

Remember- we could not run the ball against McNeese and Central Michigan. We're not going to run it against the majority of the SEC teams. You need to play offense and move the ball, so we're going to throw it. We have the WRs to make scores happen, at a silly rate per game- 3 TDs a game isn't actually all that much, when you pass every down.

I don't think Max is necessarily one of the alltime greats to play QB here, but his numbers will be... they already are.

Two rent a wins out of three games will skew the stats……

A lot of division one coaches on this board lol. It’s just the way it always is. Half of the board thought we were going to lose to CMU. Then we beat them, well we are suppose to win. Bunch of clowns, who think they know way to much about Football..

My favorite by far is the guy that said we hadn’t seen him vs a Florida or Auburn yet and then I posted his stats vs a top 5 Florida team on the road and he said that doesn’t count because their defense isn’t good lol

These pussys want O gone so bad that it makes them mad when players are succeeding.

I also love the one serial down-voter in this thread. Whoever it is - that dude is so fricking mad.

Rationality is rare on this board. People love their drama.

Max looked good in the offense this past weekend, they need to keep it up. If so, might salvage the season pretty well.

Wow, someone needs to get a job
We will barely be a 500 team (If we are lucky)

This LSU team is NOT GOOD
and that's a reality

To compare it, to the best team of all time, is the most ridiculous statement of all time

It's certainly possible and it is plainly apparent that Max is settling down and getting comfortable in the game.

But my issue is that our offense is leaning almost entirely on the passing game because we have no running game. This isn't a negative take just to be negative. When you can't get anything on the ground you are forced to throw more. The entire production of the offense is through the air.

I would be more comfortable if this wasn't the result of a one-dimensional offense.

Completely agree with you.

But would you agree this works against Max and makes his job harder?

He is throwing the ball more but teams don’t respect our rushing game. At all
