I wonder how good he could be with a competent coaching staff and half arse O Line. He had neither last year and still threw 27 touchdowns.

Max was painful to watch but still managed to put up decent stats. I'll side with the eye test on this one.

(Side note: One of them is the same poster who went by Purple Tiger King last year and made some very bold prediction about Max, which clearly fell flat)
In response, you had people post some of the things Max wasn't (an actual dual threat, throws a nice deep ball, "It" factor) and it came off as hate.
Which is the same thing that is happening right now when someone brings up Nuss's stats and his Arkansas performance.

Max iis constantly criticized for this play, but it was a brilliant heads-up play that turned a sure 10 yard loss into an incomplete pass. He had the presence of mind to flip the ball to a point on the field, which he knew had no defenders and which would be in the proximity of a receiver. Great play!

Nuss was number two, Max was number one. Max lost the "IT factor"--turned in his cleats. Nuss is number one. But Nuss better remember one thing: if he screws up, just this much, he'll be driving a truck full of spent bullet casings out of North Baton Rouge!
