They better roll him out of the pocket or he might get killed.

Um... He's getting paid starting QB salary. He will never sign another contract as rich as the one he is playing under right now.

He has been beat out by Wilson and Pryor in back-to-back years of open competition. The dude does have talent. The question is, how much? He's quite obviously a marginal starter/back-up NFL QB. That's great. Let's not make him out to be more than he is.

I'm pulling for him. Doesn't mean I have to think he's good.

The guy has a job in the NFL, a $6 million salary and the longest NFL career of any LSU QB since Bert Jones. Just because he isn't Peyton Manning, Tom Brady or Drew Brees doesn't mean he isn't a good player. There are plenty of good football players NOT playing in the NFL. EVERY player on an NFL roster is a good football player.

Well doesn't look to good when in the profile picture on the NFL website has Flynn in his Green Bay jersey. What a fricking joke. NFL makes all that money and they are this sloppy as they say on ESPN "Come on Man!"

When is the next time the Raiders try and sign an LSU quarterback? Something tells me they will not be in the running for Mett! Mett is the lucky one there, that is for sure!

Raiders' O-line is horrible. I figured it was only a matter of time before Pryor got hurt and Flynn got some playing time. Who knows, they may have to activate Purple Drank by the end of the year.

Incidentally, I picked up a Flynn Seahawks jersey at TJ Maxx for 20 bucks a few weeks ago. Don't know if I'll ever wear it, but original retail price was $125.

You are proud of him for getting a Start because of an injury to the real starter? I hope he does well, BUT he is still an unproven NFL qb for a real game that matters, Except the game against the Pats. There is a reason he should have stayed with the Packers and held the clipboard for all that Money. I understand him wanting to start somewhere but sometimes sitting back IS the best option.

Did I say I was proud??
No I did not. I feel bad that Pryor got his bell wrung but shite happens. Were you proud when Alex Smith got hurt and bicep boy got his chance? What about any off the countless others over the years?

No, I'm guessing you're a little pissy because it fricked up your fantasy team!

Seems like Flynn will get to justify that $$$ he's getting

There is a reason that Flynn lost the starting QB job 2 years in a row to 2 different rookies. Those rookie QB's gave their team a better chance to win than Flynn. I wish Matt Flynn well, but he just might be a career backup QB. But congrats to him for gettng starting QB compensation.

Sad thing is, even though I think Flynn is a better QB in general, with THIS O-line, Pryor is the more appropriate QB.

Prayers for Matt...he's gonna be killed.

Some lsu fans have moved on from Flynn being a viable option at qb in the nfl. I guess you haven't.

And some thought he would never be drafted, then never make a roster. Surprise, he is now qualified for an NFL pension.
With the NFL owners wanting to expand to an eighteen game schedule, even JR may get another chance, but I doubt it. ;)

Do people forget Matt Flynn has suffered with TENDONITIS in his ELBOW...Both camps it happened...feel bad for him...

I'll give Russell Wilson props...but Flynn would have beaten out Pryor had it not been for the injury! Put that n your pipe & smoke it!

BTW Pryor is NOT a rookie

Flynn is just as viable as half the numb nutsbthat play the position. Nhe got behind Rogers at GB and lost out to what appears to be a young phenom at Seattle. Oakland has nothing going for it. There was nothing impressive about TP2 last night. His only success was outside the design of the offense. That's not how you do things in the NFL. Sand lot ball is losing ball and will get you killed quickly.
