I'm LSU loses a home game, we were already playing one on the 19th, didn't gain one and we lose our home game next year. Florida from a financial standpoint loses zero home game. Their insurance pays out the game against us last week, we go their next year that replaces Presbyterian this year. Business standpoint they both lose one home game. Recruiting weekend we lose out, we couldn't host recruits last weekend, Florida did. Florida is usually out big recruiting weekend, we lose that next year. LSU lost I this and it's not even close.

Completely wrong and ignorant. LSU loses a home game next year when we travel to UF, and all of the revenue that Baton Rouge should have earned will not be made up; remember we have the same number of home games this year, LSU did not "end up even".

And let's not forget that this mess was caused by UF who refused to play the game when everyone else in the country found a way to play.

This may have already been stated but the So Alabama tickets have a face value of 40-50 bucks. Next years Florida tickets would have a value of maybe $100 times 100,000 tickets seems like it could be bigger loss than 1.5

Losing a home game costs local businesses $15,000,000. That's a lot to take from the supporting community. Disappoint the fans this year and they won't be there to support you next year.

we piss away home games every year with this neutral site trend

OK, so UF loses 2 home games this year, LSU loses one next year. UF sent all recruits home Friday so it wasnt a recruiting weekend. I'm not saying it's a perfect resolution, but for goodness sakes take off the P&G glasses. Regardless of how it was handled, the weather caused a schedule disruption and not everyone is going to come out of it 100%, just deal with it and move on.

does LSU get to make an insurance claim for the lost revenue of losing 2 homes games between this year and next?

LSU did not lose a home game this year. Next year, yes, but not this year.

No, they didn't. They let one go when they could have easily played it, and then cancelled another to make up for their bitchery.

They lost 2 this year, but make one back up next year. Over the 2 seasons, LSU and Florida lose 1 game each. However, the financial impact will be greater on the LSU side since we are losing an SEC home game and Florida is losing a cupcake OOC game. (assumes insurance will not make up all the difference and Florida charges more for an SEC game than an OOC cupcake like we do.

UF will get 100% of one game back next year, plus the insurance, plus financial benefits/makeup for the other game. LSU will be losing exactly that amount (and more) since it's also having to supposedly pay out an additional $1.5M for helping clean up this mess.....not to mention the screwed-up tight schedule of playing 4 SEC games in 18 days.

The BIG difference in all of this is that UF (with wonderful collaboration from our SEC Commissioner) CHOSE to allow this mess while LSU (on the other hand) offered every opportunity to avoid it.

I think LSU is honoring the S Ala tickets without any kind of premium. That's a lot of revenue vs what they would have charged for FL.
Great point, I hadn't considered that part previously.

Is it confirmed that LSU will play five sec road games next year and three home? Or will they readjust and keep the 4&4 format? The other east team come to BR.

Well no. Then you are affecting teams that had no beef in this. And the problem would just cascade. In 2017 if Tenn came to BR then they are short a SEC home game.

There's a significant economic impact with every home game. And we lost one this bc of Florida's unwillingness to play us last weekend.

And LSU loses one next year because it has to go to Gainesville. A net loss of two home games over the two years. Never mind you traded a home night game for a home day game this year on top of the lost home game. Alleva unable to keep LSU from getting screwed again.

now money is an issue for LSU when a month ago we had all the money in the world to buy a coach

Serious question: are you special?

Or do you understand where funding comes from? Do you understand that bringing in a good coach that wins also makes money?

why are people so worried about the blame game?

No one will even remember this in a week or two. It's blip. Move on.
