I think you guys are forgetting how arse our d has been recently. Offense hasn’t been the issue apart from lack of a reliable running game last year.

Hey Pen I guess you haven’t followed LSU DL and DB recruiting lately. Both High School and Transfers have been as good as most of the top programs in the country.Talent makes good coaches and this is the 1st season the tigers will have depth on defense and they are talented.Doesn’t mean a championship but give them some credit and do your homework.

He just made 18. He is a freak. Just like Jeremiah Smith at Ohio St.

Based on some wacky AI analysis. Don’t sweat it. Let’s see what happens on the field.

I mean luckily after game one we will either be catapulted into the National title discussion or have our expectations tempered.

Several national pundits and LSU beat guys have indicated none of these services or people like ESPN know how to deal with transfers in football. They do it fine in baseball but it doesn’t count in football apparently

Pshhhh two totally different level football players … Ryan Williams only had 403 yards in his last 9 games of the season and 3 touchdowns…. 44 yards a game . He only had two 100 yard games all year one was western Kentucky the other was Georgia. All while being the most targeted WR on Alabama . Our WR’s group blows bama out of the water and it’s not even close

when? before the 2019 season? thats a pretty understandable ranking,we were implementing a new offense and burrow was coming off an average year , the only known commodity at wr was Jefferson and we really didnt have a rb in everyone's eyes, ceh was a surprise. we also had new guys on the oline.
we did have returning talent on defense and did look good in the Fiesta bowl in 2018 ,but it was put up or shut up and I'll believe it when I see it when it came to opening the offense up.

we were used to miles always saying that and not doing it. we didnt realize that o was a guy that would scrap an offense that just scored all over ucf to try something with a higher ceiling.

eta nevermind, you were saying we were ranked number 3 after the natty. I've heard we were ranked 2nd but to this day I've never seen proof of this. I think the rumor was that we were second in espns fpi ,or whatever they called their
formula, after the natty game. like I said ,I've never seen this before though and I know we werent third.

people will melt and want Kelly fired if we lose, even if its a 50 yard fg at the buzzer or something comparable to that. Clemson is good and they have guys that have played together a lot on the d line .

nobody should melt if its a close game and it won't even hurt us much when it comes to the 12 team playoff . it would be huge towards our playoff chances if we win ,but not a big deal if we
lose.

if we lose that game then we just need to keep working towards the new faces gelling with the rest of the team and we will be ok

On paper are the key words. Kelly has never had this team ready to play all 12 games. Are you betting he does that this year? He may. But I can’t say it’s a sure thing. 4% is probably low though.

Lose to Clemson and forget the playoffs. BK is good for at least 2 games every year where the team is not ready to even step on the field. If his entire career was in the SEC, he may have averaged 8.5 wins/season instead of a record number of games with that pathetic ND schedule.

I disagree.

Lose to Clemson and LSU's margin for error in SEC play is 1 loss. Last season 15 of 16 SEC teams had more than one conference loss. The 3 that went 9-3 overall didn't make the CFP. All while a team, Indiana, who played exactly one ranked team all year (Ohio St) and got blown out, made the CFP. A win over The Citadel would be as impactful as a win over Clemson. 10-2 is the only number LSU has to get to. Who those 10 wins are against is largely irrelevant.

A loss to Clemons hurts WAY more than a win helps

Yeah but you also added Josh Thompson who only gave up 2 sacks in nearly 900 snaps . Then you add the VT transfer who has played over 1200 snaps of football in the ACC . Then you add the amount of 5 star talent Brad Davis has recruited I’m not worried at all about our offensive line .

You should be worried.
