And sucks for our fans because it's too late at night to be able to stay for the whole game.

Yep. Have to get home by 10pm so they can get to bed.

Who wants to stay for the second half, anyway?

Remember when LSU games started at 8pm? That was years ago when I was a kid. Everyone stayed.

Yeah, I'm still mad about it.

Just listened to it on the 104.5 website:

Joe: "[Home games are] not going to Thursday, I told them I'm not playing Thursday night in Tiger Stadium. A&M likes to play on Thursdays on Thanksgiving day, and obviously we're doing that this year and probably every year we go to A&M"

Then they asked Joe if it concerned him that A&M could come into the conference and say that they wanted to play on Thursdays while LSU has been unable to dictate shite... he gave a BS non answer "we're always at the mercy of CBS."

That has nothing to do with him, it's that we're a little down and there are other SECW teams people want to see this year. If this were a normal year, we'd be on CBS at least twice.

Not so sure about this. I remember talks before the season started about every home game this year being at night.

I don't get why CBS doesn't get a shot at the LSU/aTm game on Thanksgiving Night.

They don't have a Thursday night NFL game that week, because they have their NFL game during the day. Why not go after LSU/aTm?

Care to explain how A&M can demand the Thursday night game and CBS doesn't blink an eye?

Because their contract gives them a Friday game and a Saturday game that week.

People also think that Aleva got us more night games. The launch of the SEC network got us night games and ESPN loves us at night.

CBS can and will still pick us if we are the game of the week. It isn't like we were overflowing with 11:00 games before

Because Bama-LSU is usually the CBS double header.

MSU was unranked when we played them.

A&M vs. Bama > UK @ LSU

The only confusing one is LSU and Ole Miss, but Bama and Tennessee would get picked up before us

If we play like this every year, we'll have plenty of night games

Probably a part of their NFL contract

Yeah, because every other AD in the conference tells CBS what's going to happen

It's just mind-boggling how much power and influence some of you think we should have, or think we really rhave

If the school wants to play in Thursday and ESPN obliges to TV, the game can be played Thursday.

Just like MSU-Aub several times and A&M-USC and countless others. If LSU wanted to go to the league and say, hey can we play Thursday night against Bama, they could.

We just don't.

Ok, but why yield to a&m? Why do they get their way? Make them play Arkansas on Thanksgiving if they're so hell bent on playing then.

I say put in on TGiving Night... We'll have to back up the schedule accordingly and it would usually mean a bye before Bama and then a Sat off before A&M..

CBS wanted the Iron Bowl on Friday afternoon. Nick Saban griped and they changed that with the quickness.

Texas A&M had all of one year's experience in the league when they started telling CBS to frick off. Does the LSU at Texas A&M game sound appealing? Well, A&M said screw you CBS, we are playing thus game on Thursdau night on your competitor's station. CBS has no chance to broadcast LSU at Kyle Field against the Aggies.

Meanwhile Alleva says, "Thank you sir, may I have another?"

The worse thing about playing on Friday, is that Arkansas wants to play on Black Friday against Mizzou.
