I don't really care why he was suspended, or if it was even fair. I'm just loving the melt down in Aggie land

Pick your battles. You want strict rules, or do you want to snap a *checks notes* 5-game losing streak?

You can do both within reason... Prohibiting your best players from wearing sleeves during the cold isn't within reason... Jimbo comes off as a pedantic dick with that. I get the concerns of affecting potential fumbles and what not, but being a former football player, myself, the cold weather affects it just as much I promise you.

What is Fred alluding to there? Different standards for different players? Causes division within the team?

5-stars on the payroll can do whatever they want, but the regular players have to obey rules?

Moose's dad ran the opening kickoff back for a TD against LSU in the 1995 Independence Bowl. Kevin Faulk returned the favor a few seconds later.

Who is also the son of a damn good former NFL WR for the Panthers. I think he’s just looking for ways to get fired and get that buyout at this point. A&M is going to break the record if number of transfers at the end of the year that might not ever be matched again.

Aggies getting Coach O’d.

This is turning into a comedy show with all the reasons players are missing games. They will soon be filling up the transfer portal

THIS. All day. Those smug bastards are getting all they deserve. Go ahead and throw some more money at the program, boosters -so we can see an even bigger melt.

If the sleeves are legal and the player wants to use them what's the problem?

My buddy worked for the team when Saban was here (and Jimbo was OC) and Saban wouldn’t let skill players on offense wear sleeves because he thought they increased chances the ball would slip out and fumble. Anybody on defense could wear them. I don’t know if he still has that rule at Bama but it looks Jimbo stills goes by it.

Well, he's gone.
Wait.. if he was told not to wear them - and he did anyway - then blames the Coach for not playing him, who is wrong here?

I can understand the rule, but this guy has been wearing sleeves all year. Sounds like it should be a rule from the get go and not just suddenly implemented in the 10th game of the season and then it probably wouldn't be an issue.

Regardless of it all, whatever the truth may be, it's never a good look to have your current player blasting the coach on social media for all to see, especially in a season where players were allegedly smoking weed in the locker room and live streaming themselves speeding through the parking garage. And it's not like Jimbo is a stranger to having culture issues on his team even going back to his FSU days.

It was, and it wasn't the opening kickoff, but there was a flurry so it is understandable to get it confused. 4 TDs scored in about 90 seconds, and Eddie Kennison set two records; one for longest kickoff return TD in Indy Bowl history, and then one for the shortest time ever to hold a bowl record as Mason returned the ensuing kickoff to break Eddie's record. We thought it was going to be back to back to back when Faulk returned the next ensuing kickoff like 50 yards. But then he took the first (or second?) play from scrimmage to the house for a 40+ yard TD run.

Most fun I've ever had at a Bowl game, despite the near-freezing cold and the fact it was the Indy Bowl. Hell, after the last 6 years, it might as well have been the Super Bowl for us!
