I work for a huge multinational corporation. Our CEO delivers billions of dollars of profit to the shareholders and oversees everything. I garuntee he doesn't know how to properly malt barley in Saskatchewan, or how to extract coconut oil in Malaysia. He hires experts to do that then lets them do it. Then he manages all of those people to make sure we run as an efficient company.

Does this analogy help you at all?

Besides not screw it up like miles did?

People act like O is the first HC that wasn't a coordinator.

I'd safely wager that O's football acumen is greater than miles (and I was a miles advocate for a long time) and other head coaches.

So Nick Saban isn't the OC or DC what does he do? What does Bill Bellicheck do? What did Les Miles do? Seriously at this point you ppl just look stupid.

Saban's DC is in name only, make no mistake about it.

why did you want miles to fail at lsu.

am I doing it right?

you questioned a lsu coach so that means you wanted him to fail to boost your sense of self worth.

let me guess, you don't apply that logic to posters that share your opinion's?

I may be wrong but now a days every football team (NCAA and NFL) has an OC and a DC. On top of that almost every OC coaches/runs the offense and the DC coaches/runs the defense.

You have astutely pointed out something everyone else has failed to realize - Head Coaches aren't needed - imagine all the money that teams will save now by firing all of the Head Coaches!!!!

BRILLIANT!!!!!!!

He fires people (see Cam and Bradley Dale...RIP BBQ). Got to give him props for that and for leading LSU to a very good ending with all things considered last year.

He hired Canada and some others as well.

As mentioned, he recruits heavily, coaches the D-line and has the final say on things. He also actually answers a lot of questions at his press conferences which is a pretty big change.

No he didn't what he said was "I'm going to let my coaches coach". There's a difference and if you've listened to him he's said constantly that he's involved in everything and coaches the dline everyday.
