So how underrated was UCLA?

I was shocked they weren't at least number 25 when the 2nd week of rankings came out.
Also, who the hell has a defense of 11 starting seniors?
Not only were they seniors, 4 were 4th year guys, 4 were 5th year and 3 were 6th year seniors. That has to be the oldest starting lineup (in terms of experience) of all time.
Obviously we were overrated and they were underrated. But the rankings to me looked to be switched. I would say they are ranked somewhere in the teens. Maybe upper teens but somewhere in the teens.
Schedule
The only ones remaining on their schedule that have shots IMO are Utah, Oregon and USC.
If they win one of those, they go 10-2, finish with a number 10 ranking.

They aren't.
Their QB was only serviceable because we sucked on defense.
Their defense had an easy game plan.

From what I saw, they looked rated.
We underperformed in an embarrassing way, there’s no sugar coating it. Even worse that our head coach was talking shite to their fans right before the game.

They were better than their record in 2020 and will probably be pretty good this year. That said, we should have been able to beat them.
It looked like we were unprepared and UCLA came out looking like this was their Super Bowl and honestly, it was for where their program is. This is the make or break season for UCLA.

Remains to be seen. But they are certainly better than I expected.
Last year after MissSt beat us I thought they would win 7+ games and the QB would be a Heisman contender.
As an LSU fan, I’m certainly hoping they are good because it will be all the more embarrassing if they turn out to be Poo.

About as underrated as Mississippi State was after their win over LSU.

If we had any help from the O line we could have ran the ball and set up the pass a little more. Could have scored enough to win the game despite the pitiful defense.

Our DE's can't play the run. No idea how to set an edge.
