He was tired of watching the playoffs from home, but his leading candidates are Ohio State (who are out of the playoffs) and Alabama (who are probably out after this weekend)??? Make it make sense!?!?!

You think those two teams won't be odds on favorites to be right back in them?

Go look at the playoff teams from 2014-2020 and ask yourself this question again.

Is he trying to join them right this second, or ahead of next season?

A kid wants to explore other options. To each his own.

But if you want to obsess over the life decisions of a 20-year old, then you be you. I have better shite to do.

I heard it was because he didn't get a NIL deal while Stingley had a few.

If he wants to win a ring, I guess I understand but I dont think he benefits much otherwise from leaving. Being the top DB at LSU almost automatically gets you on the Thorpe watchlist.

Give the kid some time. Once a DC is named, he could come around.

I’d love to be in it next year while he watches from his couch in Tuscaloosa.

He's no longer a Tiger. End of story.

He's a good player. Certainly LSU would love to keep him. But if there is one position LSU has been good at constantly finding guys who can play it is DB.

Ricks and Stingley barely played this season. Yet (once O and his Pete Carroll fan-fiction porn defense were out of the way) LSU looked like one of the better defenses in the SEC...with mostly unknown guys playing CB.

But I do think this should show the fans that highly recruited players aren't even close to as invested in their school as you are as a fan. They are looking for the best place to get them to the professional ranks as soon as possible. I'm not saying this is the "wrong" mindset, but it is a loyalty to themselves first. The school is second (or third, forth, etc).

In other words, he already has an NIL deal with another school but is playing along before "choosing" where to go. Dirty, but that's the environment now.

Ricks left a championship program in California to go to IMG.
He came to LSU right after we won a NC and thought he could coast. He stopped LSU to the best available. He’s not a team guy, he’s not a leader, and is part of a growing problem in college football. Players that play for team ME.
