KD is a better ball handler. I really don't give a frick about assist. BS is soft and likes to pass...that leads to more assist. He also commits lots of turnovers...does that have anything to do with ball handling?

No and if I was an NBA team thinking of drafting him, I would certainly question his work ethic.

Not seeing it. Very limited offensive game. No jumper so can't play the 3 spot. No great repertoire of post moves and will get pushed around by big strong 4s. And no visible fire inside. I see a very average career ahead.

Yes he lived up to the hype.
SEC RANKINGS
1st in rebounds
3rd in scoring
4th in assists
2nd in steals

The only people thay say he didn't live up to the hype are people that dont understand basketball.

There are no college players that carry a team. Even Melo had future NBA and all conference guard play. Durant lost 10 games.

Ha ha. Its spot on if you want to prove you dont know shite about basketabll. Simmons' only real weakness can be corrected with on the court practice ( which is very limited at the collegiate and highschool levels

Stat wise yes, But against a weak conference. But AGAIN its just more than stats Ricky Its about disappearing at crucial times during games and not hitting clutch free throws... I am also not sure about his work ethic.... I think there was inter team termoil that involved him.....

Ok Mr. DUKE grad.... Not sure what your problem is but when someone proves you wrong you start with the name calling and say that everyone ese doesn't know shite about basketball....For a guy that says he graduated from Duke you sure don't have much common sense... There is more to EVERY SPORT than just stats... This somethin you will never understand....

For all you jackos saying his game is better suited for the NBA, tell me how he will make it when he cannot SHOOT!!

You clearly dont watch the nba. Lebron had no jumper when he came into the league. Magic johnson had no jumper.

Apparently you don't either as every single NBA player can hit 15 footers with consistency. I have not seen BS hit a jump shot all year. We are not talking about guys that go into the league having an average shot and becoming a better shooter. BS has NO shot. Furthermore, BS athleticism in transition will somewhat be mitigated by players that are just as good or better than him in transition as just about every player in the NBA is tall strong and fast and have good basketball IQ's.

He will develop into a decent player, hopefully. But right now, there are a ton of players in college I would draft ahead of a 3-4 year project type player... with NO SHOT.

Of course you point to bullshite that cant be measured as a way to shite on a player. Stats are production in basketball. Every thing in basketball is recorded. Its not like football.

For someone who thinks he knows more about basketball than everyone else ,YOU putting Ben in the same sentence as Magic at ANY point is just plain stupid..................

Yes they are... But so is leadership and knowing when its time to take control like he was supposed to be able to do... Last year he played on a team loaded with 5 star players all over the roster.. It came very easy for him... AGAIN his #'s were great in the SEC this year, but it is not all about #'s as you claim that they are... Why do almost every team huddle when there is a foul called during a game and LSU never did this... That has nothing to do with JJ. It has to do with the bond the players have between them... Ands as far as for his passion for the game??? Its just not there by his actions on the court... I don't really care what he does in the pros cause once he is gone from LSU he is GONE... What he did here is all that matters to me...........

Yes the frick it is. This isnt football. People arent saying Steph is having the greatest offensive seasons ever because of his fricking leadership. Its because he us putting up stats.
Next youll tell me baseball isnt about stats too.

wow.

What he did? Like have the best all around season in sec history?

He les the fricking confin rebounds and was 4th in assists and 3rd in scoring. Do you know how rare that is. Its so fricking rare that the list begins and ends with one fricking name.

Why dont you compare shaqs freshman year to Simmons' freshman year.

I agree that Magic had no jumpshot until later in his pro career,However he brought much more than ben did during his two years in college. Even as a freshman he led his team to the tourney with leadership skills and knowing when to take over the game when it mattered most.. That has NOTHING to do with stats... MSU didn't have the talent this LSU team had that year either.... I will agree they had a better coach though....Again He got all those great stats in a league that is near the bottom of the power 5 and some f the losses LSU had this year were totally avoidable.. And I will say this forever that IF Ben had taken the ball and wasn't standing around the last ten Mins against OU we win that game................
