If he loses these next two games, next year will be his last year here. Because, next year's roster is terrible. The only position that will be better is RB, if Holly returns and maybe CB, if the youngsters develop.

That would make two consecutive losing records and I think even Kelly would realize he's not the man for the job and some deal would be made for him to get some, not all of what is owed him.
they need so much fricking help from both the portal and the 2025 class, it's amazing to think about

Top programs should be able to cycle through talent with talent

BK is cycling through players like Sage Ryan and Major Burns and not knowing where to go after

Play gets called into green dot who tells the team.

Did green dot screw up telling the team?

I think he's alleging that LSU kept having him practice after b he started feeling symptoms or something like that

quote:

Brooks, whose football career ended after surgery was conducted to remove the brain tumor, has accused the coaching staff of inaction and has accused the trainers of misdiagnosis of his ailment. He has also sued the team surgeon who operated on him as part of this lawsuit.

He always said to judge him in year three. I wonder how he feels about that now.

It is not unfair to judge BK in 2024, year three.

But I believe he is a victim of his own success. He won the SEC West in his first year, then had a Heisman QB carry the team in his second year.

It’s been plainly obvious that we simply don’t have any “dawgs” on defense. We don’t have the horses to compete with some other SEC teams.
On offense, I have no idea what the issue is.

But I will wait to pass judgement on BK next season. Why? Because when he first got here the roster was depleted and all that was left was guys who had no other options. Well… those are now our team leaders. Those are our upperclassmen. I don’t think that can be ignored. Just my opinion.

Sounds like LSU has the NFL version of Jerry Jones. Can talk and market the heck out of a team to fans but the play on the field never elevates to the hype. The fans are addicted to all the hype and keep coming back for more disappointment.

How these coaches cannot see that Jardin Gilbert could not tackle a plump kindergarten girl with pig tales. He rushed and had the RB for a loss, bounced right off, then the very next play bounced off another runner. He cannot tackle, is slow, cannot cover, etc.

Nuss looked damn good when he played against eventual National Champion, best defense in the NCAA, Georgia, a couple years ago. He had no problem throwing downfield to Boutte, Thomas, and Nabers,

so I am if they are the right ones. This team ain’t sniffing 9 wins

It is bad.

Sloan should be replaced w Hankton immediately. Or Kelly completely take over.

Nussmeier is not a QB that runs. He's never been sold as that.

He was never anything but a backup. Brian Kelly knew this, which is why he went out and got Jaden Daniels.

Kelly gambled with an SEC roster by choosing to ride or die with Nuss this year knowing he had Underwood coming next year. He thinks this is his only down year. He is calling the past 2 years normal 10 win seasons because LSU got their 10th win against University of No One cares in the Sit Out Bowl.

10 wins should be 10 regular season wins. That's what elevates you. 3 regular season losses in a 16 team league is losing. Not making a 12 team playoff will devastate programs with recruiting moving forward.

People dont understand that. Now that the playoff is 12 teams, if you dont make the playoffs, you really look like trash to recruits.

I think his first year success went to his head and he thought that the team would get better and better each year.

It looks like he is just figuring out now (after the Bama game) , that you can't coast in the SEC.

But, I don't see it getting better until after next year's season, unless Kelly gets about 10 starters from the portal.

actually, this just makes his failure worse.

He won the lottery with JD5 and let it get to his head instead of continuing to assess where he needed to improve.

It's like.. in corporate america, managers that have "crews" or "teams" that have a few over performers... and they sit there and be lazy because their overall results are ok, instead of doing what they know they need to do with the low performers.

Daniels had been a starter for three years prior to enrolling at LSU. It was his fifth year that he shined.

I don’t think trainers are held to a standard of diagnosing anything of the sort. As for BK we’d have to have evidence of reckless disregard for player safety.
