its amazing to me some people here have issues with taking a glorious animal pent up in hell 10 miles away and letting him experience joy. feel good stories aside, its just amazing to me people have a problem with that.
agree 100 percent. just hearing about him is depressing.

i think it would be great to rescue him. i dont need some fricking show tiger, im not some bourgeois dandy, i like the scrappy underdog. he fits us.

got all that but if the tiger won't get inside of the trailer to go to the stadium, is that really a good choice?
i dont want Mike in the stadium anyway. hes a fricking tiger, putting him in the middle of 100,000 screaming drunks for 5 hours has to be awful.

why do we have Mike anyway? is it because we love him, or is it to be cruel to him?

bullshite, the new tiger needs to be poked with a stick so he can roar on every made first down ...

I would be ecstatic if we could put that tiger in Mike's den. Can you imagine how horrible that animal must feel from June through September stuck in a tiny cage in a black top parking lot? Little shite children throwing Cheetos or Skittles at it? I don't know what I'd do if I ever met the guy who owned that gas station. He will never get any of my money and I'd walk to the next exit if I were out of gas. If piece of shite was a word in the dictionary, that fricker's picture would be there. I don't say I hate people often but that fricker deserves an eternal fire in his eyeballs with simultaneous liquid Nitrogen poured on his nuts...

Edit: I hope that cocksucker gets a link to this thread so he can answer for his general disregard to all things decent...

It might be a good PR move for LSU and give an abused animal a much better home.

If the Interim Mike eats Saban, he becomes the full time Mike.

I'm for it.

Tony is 13, so his reign as Mike VII would be short, but this would be a humanitarian thing to do.

LSU's Tiger mascots are donated, but TAF/boosters can raise millions quickly.

Tony's owner won't donate because once Tony dies, he's subject to the private ownership law and can't get another tiger.

Make the sleazeball an offer he can't refuse. Five thousand dollars and I bet he signs Tony over in a heartbeat. And it's TAF money, not taxpayer funds.

And, like Mike VI, Tony is a Bengal-Siberian mix.

It's a tradition. Besides it is only for the pregame. He heads back to his habitat after the game starts.

Why not bring Tony in and get a cub to stay with him as long as he doesn't mind and we can have a young cub brought up around the tradition while still having a full grown tiger that deserves to live in Mikes habitat after sitting in that shite hole of a dog pen in Grosse Tete, I grew up in Maringouin and been seeing that tiger suffer for years, bring on tony and a cub

As much as I love seeing Mike in the mobile cage in Tiger Stadium, it was very clear that the fireworks totally freaked him out. I'd rather have Mike in the stadium than some damn stupid fireworks goin off when we come out of the tunnel. Just another reason why our game day traditions are lessened year after year.

I'm all for it. I bet they won't do it however due to Tony's advanced age.

Negative ghost rider for a couple reasons.
A. How old is that tiger? We will be right back in this spot in a couple years.
B. He isn't accustomed to the lsu environment that a cub would adapt to better. Thruckstop tiger is used to what 10-15 people a day coming by. Not the hundreds that pass lsu everyday.
It's a good thought but would be a detriment at this point for that particular tiger.

Tony has probably seen more incest than the alabama elephant. I'll stand by and wait for the right guy. Wouldn't wanna rush out and find a tiger that can't beat Navy.
