The season has already cost him.
.
Playing and getting hurt could cost him everything.
.
It's a good gamble. When you could lose more than you could gain you sit.

The door is now open for ALL NFL bound athletes to sit out for their bowl game/playoff game. And....it probably will not stop there, at some point, these self-centered thugs will start to decide that "certain games" during the season are (according to them) NOT IMPORTANT. This will become a source of embarrassment for the NCAA. This is a turning point for college football making it even more like the thug dominated, rap music infected NBA (which by the way has horrible TV ratings compared to NCAA football).

I think the premise of this conversation is that he is healthy enough to play...or that he decided to cash in vs. waiting until the season was over.

Arguing that he's still hurt, or that there is no impact of his decision (while true) isn't really discussing the issue at hand. I think many you disagree with would admit that, if he's hurt he shouldn't play. Likewise, if him signing with an agent doesn't prevent him from attending the practices, bowl events, and game, then many would agree that it's no big deal.

If the premise is that he's not hurt...would you agree with his decision? If the premise was that he can't attend any of the team activities from here on out, would you agree with his decision?

That's not what anyone is arguing though.

The only thing people have an issue with is that he signed with an agent before a bowl game that he wasn't going to play in. Their issue is that he can't support the team when in fact nothing is stopping him from being there with the team. So the entire premise of their augment is flawed.

Most people will respond to a Geaux Tigers with something similar or a question about where you are from, etc.

Others think it's better to bring up something negative to try and prove they are dialed in to the football program. It's one thing if the topic of LF eventually comes up but for it to be a conversation starter speaks volumes to their personality.

That's all u can up with. C' mon man, u missed, and u know it. Accept it, move on. U are who u are. I stated my opinion on part of the thread that u obviously didn't read. How about let's quit talking about oil changes, cigs and elfs and get back to football. Isn't that the reason we on the rant? At least for me it is.

That's my guess.
Or see my earlier post about people with tiny brains who are emotionally immature who's lives revolve around LSU football. They can't figure out how to make it all work out in their head when something doesn't go just like they think it should.

This is the modern college athlete and is really what we have created. If they could do one and done in CFB, it would happen. It will only get worse with more players choosing to sit out these "meaningless" bowl games. Meaningless to those few who will be high NFL draft picks or think they will be high draft picks but not meaningless to the other guys who are playing their last college football game. It is the nature of the beast.

The CFB playoff has taken the shine off of all other bowls and I don't see it getting any better.

If LF7 wants to quit now that is his business for whatever his reasons are. What I don't like are some of his actions this season as it definitely "appears" he was only here waiting for the NFL and not really with the team. I realize he was hurt most of the year but his selfies at TAMU, fighting with the UF coach now the sit out just seem like his heart wasn't in it.

I don't think sitting out will cost him anything and definitely not affect his standing with scouts. They have enough tape on him and are probably glad he isn't risking himself to further injury.

he didn't quit, he has been injured the whole year. Due to trying to play through it, the injury has become worse. He never "quit", he did just the opposite, he played through the pain.
Then you say it "definitely" appears. HOw can you say defitnitly? It doesn't appear that way to me at all or to most other people who know his situation and that he was injured. So much BS in your post.

Your reading comprehension needs help so I'll try.

He quit playing football for LSU. He is no longer on the team, he signed with an agent, he is done at LSU. So he quit. How hard is that to grasp. You are so sensitive about this.

It does definitely appear to me like he has been checked out. I know he was injured, the whole world knows he was injured; that is not breaking news. That is not my point. How is this for you? "While LF7 was injured he definitely appeared checked out the latter part of the season." You seriously don't see that?

So much BS in your post.

Your opinion and it sure doesn't mean a whole lot to me. But keep telling yourself that it matters.
