Are you clueless to what gone for good means? Unless he wants to be an LSU student for 2 years he's is leaving campus

he could play there. I misunderstood what you had said

LSU can make it as strict as they want. But I have yet to see where they actually have and anything that would foreclose the possibility of allowing him back in 2013 if he was willing to be off the team for 2012.

WTF? Now on 104.5 they are retracting their statement, LSU is now saying he can stay enrolled at the university and as far as football they will NOT make a statement for now. Earlier Mascona said he for sure wasn't allowed back on this team. Like I said, this story changes every minute.

Obviously you're not the authority you thought you were. Give it up.

Is that we've come to as fans of a LSU? We don't want to allow the university to set its' own behavior standards and rules, and expect them to be followed?

They did set behavior standards. Then they exceeded them in this situation.

If LSU drug policy stated otherwise, there'd be no fight.

The policy says nothing about sitting out a year and playing the next. What is so difficult about this for you?

And you know that this 3 times thing is the entire story?
You keep shifting your position.

That's sort of what we're talking about. I'm not sure how you failed to realize this. It's kind of all over the board right now and radio shows.

I think he'll still under his letter of intent, so LSU would have to release him to play at an SEC school...may be wrong though

Oh well. I guess I will go back to spending money I don't have on LSU gear for this year...

as the rules read, it looks like a third violation can be appealed. If he won the appeal, then we would have never known about the third. Any subsequent positive tests call for permanent ineligibility. Seems to be to closely resemble what is happening here...

was unaware of that rule, but would he not be ineligible to participate in team activities until the appeal process was over. i'm not sure how the athletic department relates to other areas, but for instance, if you are dismissed from the university as a normal student for academic reasons, you can appeal that, but you're not allowed to be enrolled in classes until your appeal is successful.

I'm not shifting anything. I can't speculate on how many tests he failed or what the consequences for a fourth failed test means. I don't think you do either. We can either speculate what we do know and what LSU does have a policy concerning, as opposed to what we don't know like you are doing.

Really? You know this for a fact? Just wondering if you have some kind of inside source that knows exactly why he was booted.

I said LSU student. Not LSU student for 2012 and then student athlete for 2013. He won't wear P&G. Is that clear.

If it's more than 3 failed tests, kick him off for good. But why not say that from the beginning.

Because the program never officially announced #2 or #3 why would they announce he failed #4? I think in due time we will find out more, but it will be after the kid is gone and once things settle down in the media. Once again the only people that know the truth is the AD and the coaches we have to trust them to make the correct decisions for the program. If left up to us fans we would be fukked.

If it's not then they've already broken their own policy by not suspending him for a year when he did reach number 3.

i would assume that if LSU dismissed him from the team, they in essence released him from his scholarship as well, especially if they dismissed him permanently. there's no way they would have the authority to dismiss a player and then tell him where he can and can't go. completely different from a player requesting a release on his own behalf.

So you're arguing over whether he can even attend classes at LSU in 2012? Seems to me sitting out a year would meet both requirements.
