The only way it matters is if Houston joins a power 5 conference. Otherwise he's just a good coach at a middling school

LSU does but not like those 3.

Texas #1 with most money

If UT beats Okie State or Oklahoma, they will not fire Strong. We need them to win one of those games and make the other close.

A&M also has very deep pockets, equal to TX actually.

Tillman Fertitta, CEO and sole owner of the Landrys restaurants and Golden Nugget Casinos, is worth $2.4 billion and on the UofH Board of Supervisors. I saw an interview with him over the summer when there was talk about UofH joining the Big XII. They are committed to having Houston compete for championships and will provide the means to do so.

Well, Fertitta better stop dicking around and lock up Herman to a monster extension with a crazy buyout.

The Univeristy of Texas will see to it that UH never gets near the BIG12. UT doesn't want any additional in-state competition, nor do the other BIG12 Texas schools. It's bad for business is every possible way.

Yep, not that academics are most important, but those schools all see themselves as superior to Coog High

we can more than match the current hc market. good fricking grief.

it'll just be about where he wants to be and he'll be compensated by whoever.

He has ZERO alligence to UH. It is an appointed position. He will not give up his money for that 60000 seat stadium. Dude is only a businessman.

So since the beginning of college football Houston has been hiding all this money just waiting for lsu to fire a coach to show it? Why didn't they lock him up with his extension? Why hasn't Houston ever spent money before now? This is bull they can't outbid us.

doesn't matter either way. if the ceiling on the hc market got pushed to 8mil, it's not as if we couldn't pay it. this is just silly.

Thats what I think is hilarious. All of these schools have very rich alumni. Schools like Texas have billions. Why havent they been shelling out ridiculous amounts of money for the last 30 years?

"Oh we have way more money than you,......but we are just going to keep it for shits and have a crappy football team"

But, it's probably not as big as USC, and Hermann is a West Coast guy.

Saban was right a lot of lsu fans have catastrophe syndrome that's all this is. I have a feeling he is our no 1 target and when I say I have a feeling I mean I've hear we've been in contact with his ppl for weeks already.
